Songpaw sat down, with her tail over her one paw, with the other paw doing the same thing she did when she telled Shadowpaw, as she uncavered her two scars under her left eye and said,"I don't think I'll be a very good warrior." She started."I get these two scars under my eye when I was 2 moons old, and.... and..." Songpaw sat up and said "And I'm nearly blind! I'm all the way blind in my right eye and half blind in my left, and I think it has to do with me scars. Feel free to ask why I never bump into things." She mewed to Eaglestar, while siting back down.
(So you know, even the medicine cats didn't know that she was nearly blind.)

Eaglestar listened carefully. "I'd never have guessed, looking at you." she noted. "So, why don't you bump into things?"

Songpaw sighed,"Its my paws. They show me here everything is. Sept if its in the air." Songpaw looked at her paws,"Shadowpaw thinks I'll even be made deputy one day even if I'm nearly blind. Nobody can even tell if I'm nearly blind just by looking at me or my eyes."

Eaglestar smiled slightly. "And why not? You may not see the same way everyone else, but you seem to manage just fine. A lot of hunting is scent and hearing more than anything else. Fighting...could be more of a challenge, but I'm sure we can find a way." She paused. "Though someone would need to tell your mentor. So they can focus on elements of training that don't require good eyesight."

Songpaw looked up in surprised,"What?!?! We're getting mentor? When did this apen? Who's going to be mine?" Songpaw had so many questions.

Her gaze lit up, "Redfern! Oh starclan, I...I can't believe I didn't remember you. Its just been so long." She purred. She recollected having played with him as a kit, and then when she came back after leaving, remeeting him as apprentices. They'd been friends for some time.

Redfern purred with happiness that she remebered him "to to be honest i never stoped remembering how we ayed together...thats the day i noticed i liked you...but never knew it tell know and i lnow im the same way i like to take things slow i just needed to tell you that it had been bunched up inside for so long until now when i finally figured ir out" he mewed

"Were you not paying attention?" chuckled Eaglestar. "I announced it yesterday. The ceremony's today. As for who yours will be," she paused, grinning. "You'll find out soon enough."

The female grinned, just so happy she'd finally managed ti see someone she recognized around here. She'd seen Eaglestar of course but had never considered her her initial leader, so she'd never been as comfortable around her as the riverclan leader. Seeming to think a moment she then lifted a brow. "Well, we haven't finished our tour have we? Mind continuing?" She asked, smiling.
