He watched his sister and then looked at Desiderius for a moment before looking at his mother again giving her his attention. Crius was curious now, probably more than his father or sister. "So, do you have any stories for us? Do you? I mean you have to have come across something interesting while you were gone right? So, do you mom?" This was typical of Crius to act like this when he was curious. He tended to ramble on a subject with many questions in one big breath.

She giggled happily whether mother asked how she was and in reply said "fine! But I missed you!" She said stepping closer to snuggle into her mothers side. Paying no attention to the retreating stallion apparently named badger.

He trotted into the clearing. Clearly seeing his kids and then Kassandra with his, no their, little girl Viatrix snuggling against her. He'd forgotten why they got separated but at least the kids were happy to see her. He slowed and stopped behind Crius. Keeping a curious eye on the retreating stallion, hmmm mysterious he thought, wondering who it was. "Where you been" he asked cautiously looking at Kassandra with a grin on his face.

Kassandra was a bit worried about Badger, but since he left, there was not much she could do about him. Instead she decided to enjoy the moment, turning her neck around to nuzzle her daughter. As her colt burst fourth with a myriad of questions, she rolled her eyes and turned to him. "I do, Crius, but that'll have to wait a bit." She told him with a smile and a wink, hoping he would quiet for just a bit. Next, she let her gaze rest on Desiderius and she replied to him. "I've been around. I had to go deal with something, you know, family stuff." She said, letting the excuse slip past her lips with ease. "I try to stay relatively near you guys, but I lost you for a bit. But I'm glad you've all been ok, and I missed you too." She continued, her smile widening. Her eyes remained on Desiderius though, curious as to what they were doing here with so many other kelpies.

Badger gave a nod after she had thanked him then stated, "You have a very nice name and it's a pleasure to meet you Holly." He gave a soft smile as he looked at her, his emerald eyes meeting her aqua gems before heh pulled his gaze away to look behind her for a second. He shifted his weight onto three of his hooves to release one of his hind legs. He stood like that for a minute then before putting his weight onto all four hooves again and said, "Would you like to take a walk with me?" he asked her as he let his eyes meet hers once again.

She ate some more leafes and met his eyes as he asked to go for a walk, and she raised her head with a smile and tossed her blond mane away from her face again.
With quick steps she stood beside him and looked at him with a soft smile.
"So, where are you from?" she asked a she started walking.

Badger smiled at her then slowly began to walk along side the mare. "I'm a loner and I roam from place to place so I don't have a specific home. Where do you come from?" he questioned her as he kept his pace the same as they walked. He noticed the kelpies he passed before while walking in the same direction he came from while waalking with Kassandra. His let his forelock fall into his as his head lowerd some, not wanting his antlers to get caught in any of the branches above them as he walked; he did take notice of a few that were hanging a tad lower that others.

She stepped away happily prancing in place, excited to here about the stories. asking in anticipation and following in her brother's questioning footsteps her question darted out too "When?! i cant wait to hear them" she said after her mom had told Crius to wait.

He watched as Kassandra explained her exuse for being gone. *hmph* he let out an sarcastic sigh "What family stuff, arent these two youngster your family too" he said seriously his grin faltering. atleast she said she'd tried to stay close, and was happy they were all fine. He had missed her though he thought to hold off on that proclimation till he knew where her and his feelings stood, after all she was an attractive mare, yet so was that Mother Soul he had left in the clearing, how rude of him to just run off like that he thought to himself. He still wanted her to introduce him and his family to the herd. Plus what had gotten into him, he had a family and now he was looking at other mares, he had no idea what was wrong with his head now, he didnt want a herd of his own, so why so much interest. Well he was a Flirt for sure, thats where he got his name. His grin returned but turned to smirk as he watched her look at the other kelpies he was with. "I ran into these guys, they were heading to meet the herd, thought i would tag along since i was too, i'd be good to get the kids into a herd where they are properly safe and can interact with young kelpies their age" he said making conversation "i was just talking to Mother Soul over there about it"

Birch looked in Chase's direction. Her ears perked attentive towards him when he questioned her. ''Yes, I slept fine. And it's a nice place we ended up at.'' she nodded slightly as she spoke then smiled faintly once she was silent again. She looked around calmy and admired the soft sunlight hitting the bayou around them, it looked simply beautiful and peaceful. Glancing back in his direction, she remembered the topic they had discussed the previous night. ''And now perhaps we should find others? Unless... you want to just travel together, alone.'' Birch added, tilting her head to the side; she blinked in the silence, curiously awaiting his reply.

Birch lifted her head. ''Alright, I'm not that hungry anyways.'' she replied too softly, in a barely audible tone. She sighed then walked foreward towards the water's edge and stared out at how far the water went; she was surprised they had come from that far away in the water last night. The mare changed her gaze to glance down at her dark image of herself reflected off the water's surface. Birch bit her lip as she swung her frame around again to face Chase's direction. She watched him eat and flicked her ears boredly, waiting for him to fill his stomach.
