"It's okay," The leader drifted her tail up and down the apprentice's back soothingly, her voice soft. "She is with StarClan now, do not worry." Fernstar sighed, turning to Moon. "Could you wait in my den? I'll be with you as soon as I can." She mewed before turning back to Ashpaw. "It wasn't your fault."

Threeleg heard Fernstar's call, but focused on his patient. He pressed an ear gently to her chest. Her heart rate was normal. He moved his ear down to her belly, and his eyes widened in surprise at what he heard. "Oh Juniperfrost, this is wonderful news!" The medicine cat exclaimed as he threw his head up and smiled. "You're going to be a mother!"

Juniperfrost tried to ignore Fernstar's call as Threeleg checked her through. A shot of pain washed over her body before her eyes widened at his next words. "Wait, what? I'm going to have kits?" She mewed, a smile creeping upon her face. Bramblewhisker was still physically alive in the Clan, and that made her happier than she could ever be.

Sparrowpaw opened his mouth to respond but he was interrupted by gasps of shock. He turned his head to see Squirrelpaw's limp body lying in the middle of the camp, and immediately his eyes went wild. "Great StarClan! Why is our Clan dropping like flies?" His voice was choked with fresh grief as he slowed to a stop beside Squirrelpaw.

Aquilo smiled at the ginger tabby. "Don't be upset if they reject you, they are in a tough situation at the moment. If you want a better chance at being accepted, I would give them a few days. Oh, and don't just walk into their camp, wait until you are found by a cat. But the more obvious, the better." He advised, waving his tail in a friendly manner.

Whiterain gave Rosedust a comforting lick around the ear before standing up. "Of course, let's sit over there." He mewed, surprisingly calm despite the situation. He'd seen worse. The white tom sat down outside the warriors' den, signalling with his tail for Rosedust to sit beside him.

Rosedust nodded and scurried after him, her tail flicking softly between her legs. She sat down next to Whiterain and leaned on him, her thick fur brushing against his shoulders. "H-Hey Whiterain?" The warrior murmured sheepishly.

She shrugged, turning and seeing Squirrelpaw's body. It made her feel sad and sick all at once, and she swallowed before looking up at their leader. She sat down, frowning after seeing her denmate's limp body.

Dustpaw looked at his friends trying to signal that they should leave now while everyone was focused on the dead clan mate. He was sad over the death and all he wanted was to get away from there, away from the scent of death, away of the sight of a limp body. He wanted to go on that expedition to willowclan so he could try to clear his mind and forget all the losses the past few days.
