"I want you to know, you were the best thing that ever happened to me." said Ali. He coughed up more blood.

"And you were the best thing that ever happened to me too," Shandra said, choking up.

[Ali ^^]

Ali smiled. "I love you, Shandra. And don't forget." said Ali. "Goodbye." Ali's eyelids dropped and he stopped breathing.

"I love you too, Ali. And I won't forget," Shandra said as Ali closed his eyes. She started to cry as he stopped breathing, and nuzzled him one last time, her tears no longer able to be held back.

Matthew walked up to Shandra. "I'm sorry."

Shandra couldn't find the strength to speak as she continued to cry.

Matthew saluted Ali. "You were a fine wolf, Sir." he said. "One fine wolf."

Shandra lie down next to Ali's body, still crying. She lie her head across his chest, feeling the warmth leave it.

"Did he tell you?" asked Matthew.
