Shadow That Dances at Night
Shadow lashed his slender tail impatiently when Rain went to fetch the honey and coltsfoot. His understanding of medicine was lacking. If Little did not start feeling better immediately, he would most likely place the blame on Rain for not doing all she could to heal her. The surgeon is the play maker of the herbs, using their knowledge to get the most out of the extraordinary plants. He merely did not have any appreciation for the art. The tom cat's history is muddled and kept quiet, but one can rest assured it did not include generous felines willing to heal others with no benefit in return. An eye for an eye, tooth for a tooth -- fairness in life and death. This saying does not include being "generous" in Shadow's book. This, however, was a different matter where his mate's life was on the line, and he was going to the extremes to ensure her health stayed in tact.
Shadow gently set his muzzle in the soft of Little's chest fur, relieved to hear the natural lubb-dubb of her heart. The breathing was slow and controlled. Worry gnawed at his being. One side of him was furious at how she had been carelessly attacked, and the other was worried for her and his unborn kits.
He stepped aside to let Rain by, fur puffing up along his neck at the fact he had to move away. The strange yellow liquid smelled sweet. Shadow listened quietly during Rain's proposition, nodding reluctantly in agreement to her statement. He would stay right outside the room for as long as he needed. His pride was slightly considering he was putting his trust in a Black Pearl triber, but Little needed him now more than ever.

Eye of the Eerie Tempest
Tempest met her gaze without blinking, not backing down from the underlying challenge. He kept close to Spirit to intercept any possible attacks in her direction. Now was definitely not the time for taking any chances. When Scatter finally spoke, a smirk found its way onto his maw. "I did not think you were one to make assumptions." Tempest responded casually, lifting a paw to examine the sun worn pad and the palm-tree-sharpened claws. "I could be here for numerous reasons." The tom shrugged his shoulders, not feeling as if he was particularly lying.
A memory flashed before him briefly. What happened to Raven and the other Outcasts? Were they on the same side of Scatter? Did Scatter possibly already know what he had done if Raven divulged her story to them? He kept his thoughts at bay, stoic expression not revealing any panic within.

Flower That Blooms in Shade
Flower was crestfallen at the initial response of Fox. Thoughts sped through her brain, assuming that Fox was going to tell Rain due to the risk the journey involved. She was completely taken off guard when Fox inadvertently volunteered to join them. Her heart soared, a grin flashing immediately on her features as excitement threatened to knock her off her paws. "I knew we could trust you!" she muttered quietly, though her joy was unmatched in tone. "The three of us together can outwit any storm. By the time the three of us get back, Shadow will probably still be in control . . . unless we discover something involving Tempest being innocent." It was like a secret mission! She was unsure how Tide would react to Fox joining along, but she was all for the idea considering dangers they might come across along the way.

Stream Where Small Fish Swim
"I am sure she is with someone as we speak." she mentioned with confidence brimming her voice, holding back the doubts in her mind. Storms on the peninsula take lives of tribe mates every year. No matter how many precautions are put out, sometimes the storms are so unpredictable that they can happen seemingly out of nowhere. The she-cat had faith that Spark found her way back to camp, or at least wandered into someone that would be of help. "At least the storm seems to be passing." Stream mewed as she stuck her head out of the overhang from the ship, blinking away the drops coming down at a lighter pace.
She turned her attention to Minnow when he stated he had seen Feather go off with another feline. The next question almost made her uncomfortable. Stream did not like to intrude in other feline's business as long as it was not breaking the warrior code. Drama was not her strong suit.
