She looked to the two talking and when Sorrelpaw got mad she followed her."Sorrelpaw..." She said and entered the den." You know he didn't mean to sound rude. Goldenpaw only wished to make Russetpaw fell less...uncomfortable. And I think he is sorry so maybe you should give him a second chance." Berrypaw said all this knowing how good friends the two were.

Goldenpaw sighed. "well, see ya." he walked back into the medicine den.

Sorrelpaw rolled onto her back. "I know but what he said wasnt true." She looks up at the ceiling of the den, noticing a small hole. I need to patch that later. "And he thinks he knows what it's like to watch your clan torn apart ffom the inside, by the nicest tom anyone knew. A cat we trusted with our lives."

"But maybe he know how it is.You may not know but... His mother,Nightlight, died here in Cloverclan. Even if I was just a kit myself I still remember stories about CliffClan. Goldenpaw's life was...complicated and now he has Bloodwolf after him too."She took a small break."I don't know much about your past as I know about my other friends, but I know you had a hard time too."

She sat up, looking at Berrypaw. "But at least his brother is alive. And his sister too. And even his dad." Sorrelpaw centers her gaze on the wall with a sigh.

"Well yes."She said shortly."What about telling me more about you?"

Sorrelpaw twitched her curled ears. "About.. me?" She exhaled slowly, getting into a comfortable position. "I was born into a clan called Frigidclan, to Morningfern and the deputy, Sandstrike. It was quite nice for the first few months. Until a patrol brought in Sandstrike's body. A cat had killed him, but we were the only clan in the area. He was Puddlestar's best friend. Puddlestar kept on having 'weird moments,' where he would get mad and shred something, but we all assumed it was because of Sandstrike's death. Then the medicine apprentice was bitten by something and almost killed. He went crazy, and his mentor had to give him death berries. Soon, more cats started showing up dead or bitten. We had no idea what was happening until Puddlestar attacked the medicine cat in plain sight." Sorrelpaw lowered her gaze for a moment. The medicine cat was her mother's sister. "My mother grabbed me and Sagekit and we ran for three days. Then Sagekit saw the bite on my mother's leg. She had been trying to hide it, but Sagekit wanted to know what it was. My mother knew it was from a sick cat, and left us abandoned at the edge of a twolegplace. A few days later, a dog attacked us and killed my brother. I was two moons old. Eventually, I left and ended up here." Sorrelpaw finishes the story with an emotionless mew. She had to, or else the pain of loosing Sagekit would come back. "So now you know." She mews quietly to Berrypaw.

A sight escaped her mouth as she listened carefully to Sorrelpaw."I'm sorry..."Was everything she could silently say before nuzzling the other apprentice."You're a survivor...I'm sure that your family is watching you from Starclan. And they would better be proud of you or else,when I die, I will haunt them."She said the last thing to light up the mood.

Sorrelpaw glared at Berrypaw for that last comment, then chuckled. "Yeah, but I doubt you'd scare a deputy." I wonder if they're watching me right now.. She glanced up through the hole in the ceiling, at the sky. "Oh, dang! The clan meeting!" Sorrelpaw dashed out of the den, sitting towards the edges of the group.
