The two of them had just entered the camp. Silentpaw stopped midstep and gestured with her tail that Thrushpaw stop too. Silentpaw flicked her head towards the nursery, gesturing that there were cats inside that were awake. She whispered to Thrushpaw,"pretend you've just woken up"

I looked at the new kits. They were small and so adorable and I couldn’t wait for mine to come. I checked them over and saw that they were healthy. But there was something about Owlkit that just didn’t seem right. Not health-wise but when I checked the kit over, I saw such hatred in it’s eyes; hatred that I didn’t think that a kit could possess
