Ash scented one of the meanst cat near by, Fang. He hissed, sprinting off but behind him he heard Fang call out, "halt." Ash stopped, turning to the tom and shook his head. He had to leave this place. "Make me!" He snarled, and took of running, Fang bigger and slower than him.

Mossfire flew through the forest, running faster and faster as Ash's scent got stronger.

Ash ran from Fang, his heart pumping. He began to stop, but then heard Fang crashing after him. Ash turned, sprinting a few feet before tripping. He got up, and just as he did, Fang pounced on him. Ash yelped, throwing the cat off of him. They both faced each other. Fang lashed out, cutting Ash's cheek and then shoved him backwards. Ash got up, leaping at Fang and lashing at him, but
Fang dodged Ash and Ash crashed to the ground. Fang padded over to Ash, sinking his teeth into Ash's shoulder. Fang shoved Ash against a tree, lifting him with his left paw, his claw sunk into Ash's shoulder. Ash's back was to the tree, supporting him. Ash screeched, pain rippling through him. "Time for you to die, little Ashy." Fang said with a smirk. Pushing Ash harder against the tree, his claws digging deeper.

Moss fire raced faster scenting blood. Soon she spotted Ash's familiar grey shape being clawed by another cat. Without thinking she leaped onto the strange cat digging her claws and fangs into his back

Fang let go of Ash and Ash fell to the ground. Fang whipped around yelping in pain, seeing the she-cat and ripped her off. Fang raced off, knowing that if Ash got up he would be outnumbered.
