Winter wearily lead Flash into the cave, squinting in the dim light and hearing a distant dripping sound echo off of the cave. The air was damp and cold but other than that, and the fact that this stone prison held two of his friends captive, it wasn't that bad. As they went further and further into the cave, the small pup was beginning to loose his way, twisting and turning through the rocky maze. "This way... No wait, it's this way... Ah! I remember now, it's this way!" This went on for a while, trying to mask his uncertainty from the wolf tailing behind him until he finally rounded a corner and looked up, giving a silent gasp and holding out his hind leg to stop Flash; the ceiling was covered in dark bats, hanging upside down and glaring at them with red eyes. Just as Winter started having his doubts, Snow and Flame reappeared in the cave through a portal, dripping in slick green slime.
Flash had been losing hope in Winter after the twelfth time he claimed to have known where he was going, then continued to be lost. "Winter... Are you sure it wasn't a drea-" He cut her off by coming to an abrupt stop, his eyes glued to the ceiling in alarm. Without asking, the she-wolf looked up as well, her silver eyes widening at the colony of bats glaring down at them. When she was about to open her mouth and say something, Snow and Flame appeared from a portal in the wall, covered in slime. Yeah, what are the odds. This is by far the strangest thing I've seen today... She thought then just stared at the two wolves while Winter padded over without hesitation. Suddenly, Flame screamed and the beta jumped forward to grab Winter, pulling him away from the bats for she was sure they would swarm now that Flame had yelled.
