Dovestar glanced at Duststorm as she fell into step beside him. She just began speaking as though she knew him well, though she acutally didn't. "I'm a little nervous about being leader," she admitted, but kept padding along. "I hope the Clan doesn't think I'm not as good of a leader as Ravenstar was. She always knew what decisions to make and how to settle problems. What if I make the wrong choice? I think I'm going to miss the name Doveleaf, too." Amusement shimmered in her blue eyes, then she looked back to the tom. "Oh," she bit her lip. "Did you have a question to ask or something? Sorry...sometimes I just start to ramble."

Goldenshine nodded. "Thank you." Then she looked at Sandbreeze, amber gaze stern, as if waiting for something.

I noticed you looked a little nervous since it was you first time, I just wanted to re-assure you that you're a great leader, and that everyone will look up to you." He looked away shyly. He had started to develop feelings for her. But she was the leader, and he knew that She-cat leaders can't have kits

Dovestar snorted softly, "I sure hope so. Otherwise, this whole leader-thing will be a disaster." She stared at her light silver paws, contemplating what he'd meowed. "But thanks. I think after a moon or so, I'll start to get the gist of it. Besides, I'll have you and Willowheart to help me, right?"

"Of course!" he mewed. "Dovestar, I'll always be here when you need me." He looked back at her. The moonlight made her pelt glow. "Don't worry about anything." he said simply.

Dovestar gave a faint smile. "Thanks. I don't think there's much to worry about anymore. Besides, NightClan is lucky. We weren't hit as hard by the flood as the other Clans, and all of our Clanmates are still here, besides Ravenstar." Her blue gaze drifted off, and she suddenly halted. "Do you smell that?" she asked softly, her words crisp but urgent. The gray she-cat lifted her snout to the air and she parted her jaws while breathing in, the wind blowing over her scent glandes.
