Greenstar shook his head at Snowpool, "That doesn't matter right now. They shouldn't have been out without a warrior anyway. I will not change my mind. I shouldn't have to explain myself to you anyway. My decision is final." He walked away into his den.
Icefire walked up to Snowpool, Redpaw and Foxpaw, "It's not his fault. He hasn't been the same since his mate died."

"My, my. Well, what have I ever done? Or the apprentices, they were probably just hunting. Trying to do good for the clan, The fox wasn't there fault now was it? I don't think his mate would like to see him like this anyway..." Snowpool said sadly. Her first love had died before they had any chance of becoming mates, but she knew he would want her to go on, and live a full happy life. She looked sadly to where Greenstar had walked angrily into his den.

Greenstar was angrily pawing the dirt in his den. "These young cats don't know what foxes can actually do to the ones you care about...."

Icefire sighed, "He's still tense. His mate was killed by two foxes you know."

Foxpaw was astonished? "well that doesn't give him the right to be that harsh! My parents were killed by foxes too so he thinks he's the only one who had been through that! Well think again!" she yelled and stormed off to the apprentice den, not caring about her deep wounds, but was fuming.

Lavenderpaw growled at Foxpaw, "Watch your mouth. Greenstar is a great leader."

Greenstar had calmed down. He had a clan meeting to call. He walked out of his den and climbed up a tall tree. "Let all cats old enough to catch their own prey join beneath the Talltree for a Clan meeting!"

"Yes, losing the ones you care about the most is always hard. I just hope he can get through this before it gets him..." Snowpool didn't mean to disrespect him, she just thought it wasn't that fair to the two. She didn't know he would act that way.
