Cloudgaze's ears flattened against her head. "W-Who killed my kit?" She meowed, her voice wavering with emotion. A cat bite meant murder. Somebody had murdered her son.

Bumblepaw slowly wandered over to Stumblepaw, bored and looking for somebody to chat with. "Hey." He greeted in a rather glum sounding tone. Something that was unusual for the normally ever cheery apprentice.

Leopardstripe sniffed the wound again. All he could smell was swamp and decaying trees. "It smells like dirty water and dead trees! But there isn't anything like that in Thornclan territory. Maybe you could ask Icekit." Leopardstripe felt like vomiting but swallowed it down, he was going to help his crush find her lot's murderer. He wanted Cloudgaze happy.

Cloudgaze nosed Mousekit's body once before she said, "Icekit was too scared to speak when I asked her about it. I just assumed it was because she found her brother like this but you don't think that she could know who did this do you?"

"No." Bumblepaw said without hesitation. He collapsed on the ground, too lazy to lay down slowly, and rolled over onto his back. "I messed up during my first training session and now Stripestar is going to make me be a medicine cat for sure."

Rabbitfur looked about camp and, not seeing One-eye, decided the questions would have to wait. He spotted Stumblepaw sitting in camp. What were they doing? Where was their mentor? He flicked an ear and began to pad over, but stopped when Bumblepaw approached her. He twitched his whiskers and, deciding he wouldn't be any use here, started torwards the nursery to question Cloudgaze. That is, until he heard her wailing from the medicine cat den. Curious and slightly startled, he peeked inside, gaze dark with concern. "What's happening here?"
