"I saw her heading towards the leader's den. She probably wanted to explain what happened. I'm sure she will stop by once she's done." Sunpaw explained. She knew that her mentor was a tough cat that always put her clan first. Willowpelt had proved that true today.

Rushwing was relieved to know that there was nothing serious or fatal. "Sure I am! Just what shape is the badger in?" He asked, wanting to know what to expect when facing the animal.

Riverpaw & Sharppaw

Sharppaw nodded. Even if Willowpelt intimidated him, it was obvious she was a great deputy.It was a position that didn't really appeal to him.

Riverpaw continued cleaning the wound, which at this point had stopped bleeding. He moved to the herb pile, sifting through it for what he might need. "Well, I'm glad you're both alright. I hope that badger goes away and stays gone." The cat motioned towards some bedding. "Feel free to sit down while you wait, Sunpaw. I'll get to your cut after this."

Rapidleap

Rapidleap began walking, staying slow so Rushwing could follow behind. "It's pretty hurt," she replied, "I'm survived it's alive, much less walking about. It's eyes got scratched pretty good, it's got some injuries to it's neck and limbs. I think Sharppaw tore up it's belly. It should be easy to track down by it's scent, and if not it's left a nice blood trail for us." There were droplets of blood leading away from the battle scene, off in the distance. "Looks like it's headed towards Rushing River."

Sunpaw nodded and sat down in the place that he motioned towards. Briefly she wondered where Riverpaw's mentor, Silentstep, was. Riverpaw seemed to be doing just fine on his own though, which impressed her.

Rushwing was glad the badger seemed to be pretty beat up. That made his job that much easier. "Let's go then." He said before following the trail of blood.

Rapidleap nodded, following alongside him. "How was patrol?" She asked, trying to make conversation. "I was surprised to see you up so early. Although maybe that's because I slept in pretty late." As much as she wished she wasn't chasing down a badger, she was grateful for the time outside of camp and socializing with other cats. In all honesty, she hadn't talked to Rushwing much. She was already a warrior when he became an apprentice, and she saw him grow and get promoted himself. He was a good clanmate.

Rushwing let out a sigh. "Willowpelt woke me up, so I decided since I was awake I might as well go on the patrol. All the other cats were bringing their apprentices so I thought about bringing mine. Sharppaw, though, likes his sleep as much as I do. I didn't want to subject him to that kind of punishment." He said with a laugh. "Didn't you say that Sharppaw got hurt by the badger? How did he get tangled up in that fight?" The tom asked.

SilentStep looked up from her rest. The very small she cat looked at riverpaw and yawned "Oh greeting riverpaw." She started. " I actually ran out to whisper forest earlier so I th-" she realized sharppaw was there as well.
She silently watched her apprentice tend to others wounds.
She stood up and stretched arching her back. "Are you okay sharppaw?" She said slightly tilting her head.

Applesong padded back into camp and deposited her mouse and rabbit. She saw that Sharppaw and Sunpaw had already scampered away to get treated. The she-cat let out a sigh, but was relieved knowing that a badger attack could have resulted in worse.
