Applestep, who had just returned from a fruitless hunt, came into the camp and lay her head down upon her paws. Though her stomach growled bitterly, she knew she could not eat until she had contributed. The peach-coloured tabby gave a yawn, erected her head, and glanced around the camp with wide brown eyes.

Ottersplash saw Applestep with no prey. "No luck?"

Applestep glanced over, then shook her head. "Maybe I'm too loud," She admitted. She stood and stretched, flattening her ears as she did so. "Have you caught anything today?"

Vividpaw dropped into a hunting crouch. Her hunting crouch was okay. It wasn't perfect but it wasn't bad. "So, I'm hunting a mouse. And I get down wind of it, I'm pretty sure. Then I," she wiggled her haunches not minding her swishing tail, "POUNCE!" She leaped and landed at her 'prey.'

Applestep gave a shrug, then suddenly her brown eyes brightened and she sat up straight. "I have an idea. How about we go hunting? You're probably more experienced than me, anyway. I scare away mice wherever I go," She gave a slight chuckle.

Sparrowcatcher blinked once, amused. "Most of it was correct. I'm quite impressed, actually. But a few tips here," The tabby tom crouched down himself and demonstrated her previous pose. "Tail flat. I can see it from fox-lengths away." He lowered his tail to the ground but did not let it drag. Instead, he let it hover a whisker-width off the ground. "The sound of your fur brushing the earth can scare a mouse. It hears vibrations." Before he pounced, he lifted his hips off the ground slightly. His stance was slightly wider.
"Your paws are also a bit too close. Splay them out. A wind could knock you over," The tom gave his whiskers a twitch then sat up, glancing at her with green eyes.

Vividpaw put her tail down like Sparrowcatcher did. Her tail was just above the ground and no longer touched it. She also let her paws go out farther, which alowed her to get closer to the ground aswell. "Like this?"
