He didn't want to leave her by herself because someone might kill her while on her way to the border. He tried to reason with her, "But, just think, we CAN win this! We are STRONG! Why should we run away like some cowards? How about we show these guys that we aren't just some weak farmers, (lol i hope they are the argriculture ones XD) and lets bring some justice to these games and to our home?" After grabbing a pack of supplies, Redwood ran into the trees. If he was going to get out of this, he'd have to hide and stay away from the other competitors. He knew they could get very vicious.

Neomonni -
Neomonni didn't stand a chance in this, he wasn't trained to do this! If only the trained tribute didn't get sick last minute, he wouldn't have to worry about getting picked. Maybe he could get a couple of other JMDs to help him out...

"Sorry. I couldn't just leave you... " SteamPunk replied, grabbing a few of the packs off of Fervent's back. She slipped them onto her own back, and continued walking away from the Cornucopia. In the darkness, she hoped that Fervent couldn't see her shake her head in her own disappointment in herself. She was going to get them killed if she wasn't careful; she should have found that camp and waited for her partner's return. But no, instead her pride and loyalty had taken over, and she had chased after him like he couldn't take care of himself. SteamPunk hissed under breath, "Why am I so... just.. taggy..."
