Stormpaw;
Apprentice;
"She found me near the river. I was chasing a mouse when it dived into a hole. I couldn't stop in time and fell over the edge. It was strange," Stormpaw added, "The river wasn't usually so high." Stormpaw felt okay now, yet his paws were slightly shaky as he turned around. Splashfur was entering Mistyfur's den.
Mistyfur;
Medicine cat;
"It's okay, Splashfur. The thorn isn't that big, but you ran with it in your paw, causing it to sink deeper into your paw. I'll give you a dock leaf for it." Splashfur's paw wasn't bleeding anymore, but it might be infected. "Go easy on that paw," Mistyfur added. The young warrior didn't argue.
"Here." Mistyfur meowed when she was done. Splashfur dipped her head and left the den, leaving Mistyfur alone to think about the floods. The water was unusually high when she got there. Mistyfur shook herself. She recounted her stocks, and found that she was nearly out of poppy seeds and horsetail.
Stepping out of the den, Mistyfur padded off to find the right herbs. Poppy was easier to find. She also found a clump of catmint, which she carried back to camp. No luck with the horsetail.

Thornpaw;
Apprentice;
"What is it?" Thornpaw padded up to his denmates. But Stormpaw had turned away. Thornpaw didn't mind. I'll go hunting. The camp was so full, yet the fresh-kill pile was small. No cat had hunted much since the floods. Thornpaw decided to hunt near Talltrees, on the opposite side of the river. But I should have a warrior with me, thought Thornpaw. He scanned the camp, looking for any warriors.
Shadowfang;
Warrior;
Shadowfang was out hunting near the river. He knew it was risky, yet good prey was found here often. "Mouse dung!" he cursed as the vole he was stalking skittered away. He had made no sound. Turning round, Shadowfang realized what had scared his prey. The water was only a fox-length from him. He gasped. The water was moving higher and higher. If he was lucky, then the greenleaf sun would burn the floods away, though it might be a while yet before it was time.
Brambleheart;
Warrior;
Brambleheart rasped his tongue over his paw and began washing, careful not to hurt his eye slash, given to him by a fox. Newleaf would end soon, but rain was coming and going, and the river was flooding. He decided to take Emberpaw training. He padded over to the apprentices' den.
Leafpaw;
Apprentice;
Leafpaw noticed that the clouds were gathering. Thunder sounded and rain began to fall. She let out a silent yelp as a raindrop splashed on her nose. She ran towards her den, noticing Brambleheart. The brown warrior had turned to the den. Looking for Emberpaw, Leafpaw guessed.
Thunderstar;
Leader;
Thunderstar noticed rain coming down. Luckily, no cat was on patrol. Noticing the apprentices with a slightly disappointed look, Thunderstar padded over to them and meowed, "Don't worry, you can hunt and train later. No rain lasts forever."
