Echo squeezed into the apprentice's den along with Ravenpaw and Frostpaw. He recognized the tabby cat who had been staring at him earlier, and he frowned slightly. "Is that Flamepaw? I don't think he likes me." Echo meowed softly, studying the tabby tom. His chest was rising slowly, and he looked like he had a few scratches on his face and belly. "I wonder how he got those scratches." Echo mumbled mostly to himself, but loud enough for the others to hear.

(oh well, looks like that question can be answered another time xDD)

"Nonsense!" She exclaimed in a whisper, not wanting to wake Flamepaw. "He's the sweetest cat I know. If he doesn't seem to like you, it's just because he's protective of his clan." Secretly, and she would never admit it, she found that a very attractive quality in Flamepaw. "And the scratches..." She paused. She saw how embarassed Flamepaw had been earlier when he tripped in the forest and she had pointed out the scratches. She took a breath before replying, "He was brave in chasing away some cat that had crossed our territory." Her ear flickered.
She just lied. She's never lied before.
"No offense though," she rebounded quickly. "It's a big deal, cats crossing our territory. You're very nice, Echo, so you wouldn't have anything to worry about."

Echo nodded understandingly. He knew they would chase off rogue cats, kittypets, or loners, and he was okay with that. He's surprised Wildstar even let him join. "It's fine. I'm glad that there are brave apprentice's in this clan." Echo nodded happily, but still not able to take his eyes off of Flamepaw. He felt familiar, but he didn't know why. He knew he hadn't seen him with the clan before.
