"GHOSTPAW!" he shouted. It seemed the apprentice was falling in slow motion. Burningleaf descended as quickly as he could, but not quick enough. He walked over to the young tom and put an ear to his chest. Still a pulse. But barely. "Ghostpaw, can you hear me?" His voice sounded as if he could cry at any moment.

Silentpaw stood up, shaking. Instinctively she ran into the forest, not knowing where she was going, and not knowing if she could even change the outcome at all. All she knew is that clouds are covering the moon and something bad is unfolding.

She and Redriver ran over to the lifeless body on the ground. "Ghostpaw! Wake up please!" Redriver shrank back fear and tears glittering in her eyes, "It was just as it happened to Antpaw. This is how Antpaw died!" She yowled.

Her eyes grew wide with terror and sadness as she witnessed her apprentice die, "From now on, you'll be known as Ghostflight." She whispered, tears rolling down her face. She buried her muzzle in his soft neck fur, "I'm sorry you had to go like this..."

Silentpaw stopped running suddenly. Something told her she was too late. She didn't even know what had happened, yet she felt like she'd lost a battle. She would turn around and start walking back to camp with her ears and tail down.
