Storm stretched her legs and started to walk out of the camp, seeing that the cub and Scarlet were to busy to feed. She decided to hunt a bit, wanting to stretch her legs and relax for once.

[I haven't posted with Damin for ages Dx]

Damin wandered around the forest, licking the fresh elk blood off his lips. His stomach grumbled and he immediately barked at it. I'm a little on edge lately, Damin thought gruffly. He put his nose to the sky and sniffed out the scent of a she-wolf. Damin followed the scent through the leaves on the ground, but she was tough to find.

Storm was stepped lightly through thick bushes and muddy pathways, her nose to the ground as she followed the scent of a small creature. It was a weasel, one of Storm's favorites. She smiled, happy that her troubled life as a loner was behind her.

Damin scurried through the forest, sniffing madly at the ground. Where is she? he thought, frustrated. The she-wolf could be his only chance to get back to camp, and he was going to take it. He grumbled and followed the musky scent. Damin pushed his head through a bush, but stopped in his tracks. He saw Storm, and she looked like she was tracking something. Damin didn't want to interrupt her, so he turned away and sat on his hunches, waiting.

Scarlet smiled, licking his head. She jumped around, nipping at his tail playfully and prancing about. I wonder what he´ll become when he´s older She thought, worried if he might betray his adopted family. He was a cougar after all, and they ate meat to survive.

Storm spotted the small creature, and lowered herself to the ground. Her silvery haunches glistened in the light, and her milky scent traveled back, away from the weasel. That also meant that she didn't catch Damin's scent behind her, and was unaware of his presence. She took a single step forward, then pounced. A weasel could put up a hell of a fight, but she was experienced, and she flicked her head hard to snap it's fragile spine. She sat down, eating gleefully with her tail wagging.

Kanuga ran at the tree that Grim's den was under, scurrying up it and pouncing down on Scarlet's back. He was already a great climber, though his steps weren't very sure yet. He purred, chuffing excitedly.

Damin shut his mouth forcefully to stop his gasp. Storm was an excellent hunter! His eyes gleamed and widened, a smile pulling up at his lips. He took a few quiet steps through the bush, watching Storm. The emerald coloured shrub was spiky, but Damin's pelt was tough and thick, so he didn't feel it as he sneaked through. he didn't want to scare Storm, so he cleared his throat loudly. "Nice catch." Damin complimented Storm, walking towards her.

Storm glanced up, her tongue darting out to clean her muzzle of blood. "Uh... thanks." She smiled, and sat up. Her ears flicked back, then forth. "Damin, right?" She smiled, wagging her tail.

"Yeah, thats right." Damin said, shocked and curious. His eyes searched her face, her eyes, and finally came to rest upon the half-eaten weasel lying next to her. "How did you learn to be such a skilled hunter?" Damin asked, walking over and sitting in front of Storm. He had a flash back to when she caught the weasel, and he was impressed.

Storm grinned. "Well, I lived by myself for a few years, so I had to be a good hunter to live." She turned back to her weasel, offering Damin a bite. "It was tough, but I got through it okay."
