Grim licked Scarlet's ears, laying down beside her. He perked his ears as the sounds of paws came near, and an odd scent wafted through the camp. It was familiar, and yet strange. He spotted two large shapes coming from the forest, and caught the pup's scent. "I think that's them." He said calmly to Scarlet, trying to keep her calm through his own actions.

[Canair]

Scarlet nodded, watching the dogs come into the camp. She stood up, running towards them. "Kaylo?" She asked, sniffing him. Scarlet took hold of his scruff in her mouth, tugging the cougar off Storm and placing him on the ground. "What happened." She demanded to Storm, looking at her.

[Crystal_Tigryphon]

((Kaylo is the puppy, the cougar is Kanuga... remember?))
Kaylo whimpered, and looked at his paws. "I ran off..." He yipped, pouting as in shame at his own selfishness. He walked over to Ri's old den and laid there, taking in her scent.

Storm sighed. "He just found out his mother died... he was running to the Aztec territory to... join her." She wondered if Scarlet knew what that meant.

Kanuga walked over to Scarlet, rubbing the side of his head against her leg and purring. "Momma? What's going on with the Kaylo?" He had started to think of all the different looking dogs as being different animals all together, thinking their names were their species.

[Canair]

[Oh o.o]
"Nothing," Scarlet replied and licked the cougar´s head. She curled up back against Grim, yawning. The border collie and German Shepherd mix watched the cub, one eye closed.

Kanuga had grown rapidly before, when he had milk to feed on, but since Ri had gone he'd had nothing to eat. His stomach growled, and he walked over to Scarlet to nuzzle her belly, though there would be no milk there for him.

Storm laid down in the open, her jaws parting in a huge yawn. She was tired from her run, and the stress of worry had made it more so. She eyed a piece of prey, but didn't feel like getting up to get it. She flopped onto her side to sunbathe, and the smell of her milk rose up on the air.

[Canair]

Scarlet chuckled, "You need to learn to eat meat." She turned to Grim, "Would you please get a mouse?" She bent down, looking at the cub, smiling.

Grim sighed, but got up to get it. "He may be too young to eat meat, Scarlet. Do you know how old he even is?" He dropped the mouse in front of Kanuga, and the little cub just batted at it, laughing at his 'new toy'.

((you haven't removed Ri from the group list yet, and where does Kanuga fit in? is he gonna be considered a pup, or is he a side note...))

"How old is he?" She asked, looking at Grim. Scarlet licked her paw, sighing as she looked at the bite marks from the rabbit. "I hope the poison is gone," She said to herself.

Grim shrugged. "I don't know much about cougars, to be honest..." He sniffed at Kanuga, and had a thought. He bit the mouse, making the smell of blood fill the air, and pulled it along by it's tail. Kanuga chased after it as if it was alive, swatting at it and trying to bite it. When Grim let him have it, Kanuga chewed at his prize, eating it slowly. He still wasn't ready to be weaned, but he was more than ready to try his fangs on meat now.

Storm lifted her head to watch them, and smiled. She knew about cougars. She stood and walked over to Scarlet, sitting beside her and looking down at her leg. "It should be fine by now... when is the last time he nursed?" She asked, looking over to Kanuga as he wrestled with a stick he had found on the ground.
