Thorntail was suspicious, but padded out of the nursery and turned to face his beautiful mate.

Russetleap faked another smile as he exited, this time it was a bit more genuine. "Your choice this time," She mewed gently, playfully nudging his shoulder with hers, "What do you want to do?"

[Pumpkin Cupcake]

Thorntail grinned and raised and eyebrow, but shook his head and smiled. "Maybe we could go on a patrol?"

(Wow, there's nothing to do!)

Russetleap smiled and nodded enthusiastically, her energy suddenly returning as if she was a warrior once again, "Sure!" She mewed, bounding towards the exit, "You lead!"

Scarletfeather stopped them. "Where are you too going?" She asked.

Russetleap watched as the deputy seemed to appear out of no where. It seemed to take her a while before she found the right words to respond with, and found herself starring deep into the she-cat's eyes. "Out of camp..." She answered eventually, unsure, as if Scarletfeather was making out that they were doing something wrong, "We were going to go on a border patrol..."

Scarletfeather stood up tall. "Good." She growled. "There's a pack of loner cats out there." She meowed, like whispering.

Russetleap watched her carefully, nodding quickly to show that she understood. She tried to ignore the she-cat's harsh tone as she imagine the pack of rogues, "Do you think that we should take another cat out? Just in case?" She asked cautiously. She knew that this time was supposed to be for both herself and her mate, alone, but if they were to get attacked whilst they were out, a short outing wouldn't be worth Thorntail's life, or even hers.

Scarletfeather nodded. "Just to make sure you and your mate don't get hurt."

Sablekit let a wide smile caress her pretty tabby face as she bounded around Spottedkit, "What do ya wanna do now?"

Russetleap glared at Scarletfeather. What was she trying to say? That they couldn't take care of themselves? That she didn't believe that they truly loved each? Or that maybe, she didn't believe in love at all? No matter the reason, Russetleap couldn't help as the fur on her shoulder blades stood on end with agitation. "Larkpaw!" Russetleap calls over her shoulder, "Would you like to come on a border patrol?"
