Cinderpaw sat next to her pile of kill and once again sniffed the air for any prey. She picked up her kill in her jaws and padded into the next clearing. She sat for what seemed moons until she saw a small mouse scurry across the frosty floors of the forest. She leaped at it sinking her claws into its neck, sinking tighter until the mouse went limp. She tossed it on the pile and looked around for prey.
