When Moon arrived at camp she padded back into the medicine den to have herbs ready in case of injury, or coughing.

Rose sat at the border of leafclan eating her squirrel contently.

Forestpaws ear drooped in sadness from his mentor's absence, but perked back up, "I'm sure she's okay, she was very tough" he mewed confidently before swishing his tabby tail happily.

"Nursery" she repeated as she looked at the Jasmine bush. "So what goes in the nursery?" she asked.

Squirrelpaw- 26 moons - apprentice - Firestorm -

She flicked an ear, and got up, sighing. Since it was a while to go, Squirrelpaw thought she might as well continue practicing her moves. Getting to her dainty paws, Squirrelpaw pretended there was a fierce fox in front of her. Willing her instincts to not choose fight over flight, the ginger tabby flicked her ears, and tried to memorize what foxes were like. They were fast creatures, far faster than lumbering badgers. Frowning, Squirrelpaw wondered if you could just be faster than foxes?

Leafstar smiled. "I want you to get re-situated. Then when you are ready, I can answer that question." She mewed. "Do you feel up to taking the role of deputy once again?"

Bluesoul thought she would never feel this happiness again. She lay curled up with her mate and kit, purring. She softly groomed the ginger fur on Sparkpelt's back.

Thunderkit grinned. He was certain that he would make his father proud one day.

"That's were the queens live when they are expecting or taking care of kits." Lightpaw explained. "Scent the air, you can smell them."

Firestorm stifled a purr of pleasure. He could tell that Squirrelpaw had moved on to foxes now.

She lifted her muzzle, and sniffed the air. The scent of the Jasmine bush was strong, but the scent of kits wafted out. "Are there any kits this time? " she asked.

xxxxxxxxrani sat at the edge of the clearing, her back up against one of the camp's sturdy barriers. she was clearly a bit tense, her tail swishing back and forth and her narrowed blue eyes scanning her surroundings. she had always felt uneasy when she wasn't in the forest, running freely with the wind in her pelt, but her mind was telling her to stay in camp today. she didn't know why, but for now she decided to trust it.

xxxxxxxxlionstrike padded into camp with a shrew hanging from his jaws. he peered around the small clearing for a moment before continuing to the fresh-kill pile, where he placed his prey. silently, the tom walked to one of the sides of camp before laying down, his narrowed eyes continuously and carefully watching the camp.

(Welcome back! quick recap for you: Nightwhisper and Sparkpelt returned (Nightwhisper was the deputy and Lightningpaw's mentor before he disappeared. Sparkpelt is Bluesoul's mate.) also a new cat has entered camp, Dovah. Leafstar will make an announcement in a little bit about that. )

Lightpaw nodded. "I'm sure you'll get to see them soon." She purred. She then led her friend to a small cave, it's entrance dipping downward. "That's the medicine den, where you go if your sick on injured. Pantherleaf is the medicine cat and Fallstorm is her apprentice."

Nightwhisper looked happy. "Of course I am. I don't think I was born to do anything other than work beside you, Leafstar." He swished his tail in amusement. sitting taller. "I mean, that is only if you're willing to accept me back into my position.. I wasn't sure if I had been replaced yet or not."

Sparkpelt sighed softly, nuzzling into Bluesoul's fur. "Maybe we'll take a moonhigh walk tonight..?" He spoke softly so the kits wouldn't get any ideas.

Leafstar purred. "Of course I am." She mewed. "I split your responsibilities between the senior warriors." She paused. "About Lightningpaw.." She hesitated. "She's been in a dark place since you left. I think you're the only one who can mentor her. I don't want to suddenly drop all this responsibility on you when you just got back, but..." Would he be able to keep up with both mentoring Lightningpaw and being the deputy?

Bluesoul purred softly. "I'd like that."
