The black she-cat looked at the tom more, scanning his every feature from his white fur to his brown fur. She was so mesmerized by the tom that it felt like the world was slowing down. Acornkit had never felt something so strongly before; it was like she had finally began to feel romantic feelings—after all, she was close to being an apprentice. Acornkit shook her head, clicking back into reality. “Sorry,” She meowed, quickly thinking up an excuse. “I was thinking about my mother.” She spoke sheepishly, hoping that Slashkit didn’t notice. Acornkit quickly noticed they were making eye contact, her body flushed with warmth from embarrassment.

The she-cat's grey eyes twinkled with warmth as she set off after Riverclaw. Kestreldawn was more than happy to let the younger warrior take charge. "All good with me," she agreed. She glanced back at Vinepaw and let out a huff of amusement. "Mhm, your feeling was absolutely right," she replied. "Remind me to ask you about my future sometime." Grinning at her own joke, she playfully flicked her tail at Vinepaw. Despite her age, she really acted like an immature apprentice at times. "Just messin with ya," she finally added. "Anyways, we're on a border patrol, so we'll head to the right of our jungle border, like Riverclaw said, and there we'll renew our markers. Keep your senses alert for anything suspicious as well." She tilted her head slightly, a silent way of asking if her apprentice understood.

The rush of the water and the sound of his mentor's voice snapped Maplepaw out of his head. Under his paw pads, he could feel the jagged stones and the way his claws would scrabble against the rough surface. A quick nod later, and he trotted a few steps away, preparing himself for his first moves. Glinting eyes, tense muscles and a large stature─he looked the part of an intimidating warrior, but it was now time to see if he could live up to that appearance. He took a few hesitant steps, then rushed towards Deerblaze, aiming a swipe at his muzzle, claws sheathed.

When she got close enough she jumped nearly missing it. The mouse was able to let out a squeak before she was able to kill it.

He let the younger cat attack him, knowing that he could not try to hurt him, he smiled as he struck toward his muzzle "good, there was a great amount of power with that swipe, with claws, that could be effective...except your opponent could've tried to avoid it" he meowed. He thought for a moment "let's try another platform" he meowed jumping on top of two rocks which were next to next, the rock was not large, but it made him go higher than Maplepaw was now "try your next whatever move on me now? Don't let me see you, before you attack me, okay?" he meowed.

Muddylake successfully caught one bird to the group, but she took too much time before doing the strike, so the hunt almost failed as the birds were preparing to move elsewhere. They looked around the woods once again, then quickly buried the prey under some flat small rocks, taking some leaves to cover it from being seen or smelled. Shaking they pelt lightly Muddylake started to look for the next possible prey to catch, they wanted a great amount of prey to bring back to the camp, so they could not be seen as an apprentice with a warrior name.

After spending the better part of the morning hours searching the jungle for a familiar scent, she finally caught a hint of it on the wind. Bounding in the direction the breeze had come from the scent of mystic clan was becoming stronger and stronger. Thunderhowl contained her excitement slowing her pace so she didn’t risk scaring off her clan’s prey. She briefly considered attempting to hunt herself a bit, so she could bring something back to share with her old friends. However, she decided against it starting her way through the familiar territory.
