"Also, I want you to practice battle training with another cat. We both need to brush up on our skills." His mind flashed to Pigeoncloud but he quickly pushed that aside. He would ask him if he was in camp but if not, he could find someone else to help him. "You can choose and ask who you want to help you."

Pigeoncloud followed the deputy out of camp, and when the tom said he was in charge, he blinked. "Okay, we can try near the stream at the border." He said, turning in that direction. He'd rather they have gone more towards where the forest and the marsh met, as there were plenty of herbs in that area and possibly a medicine cat or two, but Pigeoncloud wasn't going to try and argue with Bouldersky.

Hollyheart hummed absentmindedly. She could ask any cat, and maybe someone like Amberheart or Hawkscar would be good since they were around her age, but she secretly hoped Robinpaw wasn't out training today. Plus, she really needed to talk to him about the prophecy. The medicine cat shouldn't have told him in the first place, but ideally he wouldn't say a word. Pinetail was right, with Leaf-bare approaching, predators and even other cats would make Reedclan territory into their home, meaning the clan needed to focus on protecting itself more than a silly prophecy. "We should probably wait until the patrols get back..."

It didn't take long before Pepperstrike had caught two mice and a squirrel, all easy catches because they were weak from the cold. If the warrior forgot to thank Starclan because his mind was caught on something else, hopefully his ancestors wouldn't mind. On his way back to camp, Pepperstrike briefly wondered if he could go straight back to the loner after sunhigh, or perhaps sneak out at night, but he wasn't sure...

Shaking her head softly, Amberheart called up to the other warrior again. "About what I expected. Come back down, maybe there's something else around here!" She said, grinning as she bounded over to a bush and stuck her head into it. Amberheart was greeted with the stale smell of prey, but also a dash of something the warrior couldn't place. It reminded her of cat scent, but something was off about it. It made her think of badgers or foxes, but it was unmistakably feline. It was faded though, and no-one had reported any strange cat like creature recently, so Amberheart just focused on searching for prey.

As a deputy could be higtest rank than warrior so she thought leading a patrol could be his job, but now Pigeoncloud was saying where to go. Flicking her tail she didn't say anything about it thought, just walked silently behing the older cats.

He rolled his eyes "Of course of course" he meowed to his mentor, giving a glare toward Adderpaw, who didn't even care to say anything to him 'whatever' he thought himself and keep walking forward. He flicked his ears for any sounds he heared, making him think that was it really good idea to stay as a one big Group when hunting, so far he didn't see any preys to be near them.

She blinked her eyes in horrified, when the young tom climbed to the tree and how hight he got there, wondering if she could have courage to go that hight, but for now it make her feel dizzy to even think about it. Sighing she keep watching the cats, thinking if they was just having fun or trying to find something.

Jaggedbreeze was heading off with the patrol, keeping pace with them. She looked at Petalpaw for a moment and said nothing, like she always does. I hope I don't come off cold. Im just not a talker unless I really need to talk for some reason.

Owleyes watched Hollyheart get up and said to her, "Yeah, you better do that before grumpy ol' Pinetail claws out your ears." He watched her leave camp and he sighed to himself. He didn't like being alone and silent. Owleyes licked his paw and drew it over his ear, flattening down some fur ruffled from sleep.

Beetlepaw finally felt better to start back up on his adventure again, but he got an idea. Climbing up the tree. The view will be so pretty up there! The tree was slightly taller than the rest, so if he got up far enough he may be able to see the treetops. Beetlepaw hopped out of the small wooden den and dug his claws into the bark. It wasn't a common teaching to apprentices on how to climb, but Beetlepaw learned through all his adventures. He started making his way up the tree, being careful to place his paws only on bark that wouldn't crumble underneath his weight. Slowly but surely, the tree started getting thinner as he climbed higher. At one point, Beetlepaw came upon a large nest made in the trees. The eggs were not guarded, and they were quite large. Probably belong to an owl. They have been known to lay eggs in winter. Whitestar would tell me to break them so we have less predators, but the birds are still young and helpless. I couldn't bring myself to kill them like that. They can't even defend themselves. It would be like killing a newborn kit. He continued on climbing, pushing away the thought of the eggs and focusing on his goal. Eventually, he reached the point in the tree where it was not too thin to break but could just hold his weight. Since all the leaves had already fallen, it was a clear shot. Beetlepaw could see everything. Is this the freedom birds feel? To soar above the trees. Im sure we all look like ants to them. He admired the view. The trees covered in snow was so beautiful to him, he could stare at it forever.

Hazestrike saw Adderpaw run out of his den at last, and he smiled in amusement. As the rest of the patrol caught up, he continued walking forward towards the marsh. As he reached it, he kept his mouth open to let the smells waft into his mouth. Hazestrike picked up the scent of rabbit, but it was stale, blown by the wind. Maybe we could try fishing. Lets see.

Oakheart noticed Pepperstrike coming back towards the camp. He decided to speak with the other warrior, as it would help him take his mind off of his stressful situation. He padded over to Pepperstrike, a small smile on his face. He was trying his best to be polite and friendly towards his fellow warrior. “Welcome back, Pepperstrike. How are you doing today?” The older cat asked, his tail flicking back and forth.

Silverfoot awoke in the warriors den, still drowsy. She shook her head to clear the feeling and stretched her self to prepare for a long day of hunting. She quietly padded from the warriors den, to the fresh-kill pile where she picked up a small yet plump pike. She grasped it in her jaws and carried it to a shady rock. Tearing open the pike brought Silverfoot strange satisfaction as she savored its juicy taste. Upon finishing, she buried the bones and spikes,than licking the smell of pike off her paws and whisker. ''Time to go hunting..'' she said to herself. The green, crisp reeds beckoned Silverfoot to discover the prey hidden within. She wandered through the territory, searching for a fresh scent. Besides her clanmates markings, prey seemed doubtful. Sighing, she trekked on damp wet moss till she spotted hard shiny surface basking it in the sun. ''A turtle!'' She whispered. Leaning down to her belly she stalked forward towards the unsuspecting turtle. Knowing she could only kill it with its head out of its shell, and how her white fur stood out, she had to be quick and quiet. As stealthy as she could, she dragged herself to the turtle. She pounced upon its neck, killing it painlessly. As she trotted to camp with the turtle hanging from her jaws, she couldn't help but notice how large her catch was. Purring with pride, she reached the camp and dropped it on the pile, which would make a great meal for 2 cats or more. ''That was a great hunt'' she said to no one in particular.

But knowing she would have to hunt more, she surveyed to camp with a quick glance and walked out of camp again to keep on hunting. Before Silverfoot could even leave the camp, a rabbit came dashing through the reeds towards her. With a fast swipe the rabbit was no longer running. Scooping up the rabbit, she once again dropped her prey on the pile. ''I wonder what scared it..'' Still relishing in her easy catch, she walked on, hoping to catch more. She came upon a rock outlooking a large space of pond, where a log hung on the surface of the water. ''That's not a log!'' She said, ''That a croc!'' The ''log'' had strange limbs and white gleaming teeth that had a bit of grey fur, most likely rabbit, in between them . ''A cat would make a tasty morsel for you..'' She thought as its beady eyes rested on her. Carefully going around the pond, she prowled on. The strong scent of field-mouse hit her nose, and within a fox-length, stood the small, timid creature, with a seed in its paws. But before Silverfoot could move, the mouse spotted her white fur and ran. Growling, she followed, dodging branches and rocks. Suddenly snatching up the mouse, she snapped its neck. Sitting down, panting, she enjoyed the mossy, almost boggy air. Regaining her breathe, she picked up the mouse and strolled back to camp. She dropped the mouse on the pile, and walked to a sun-warmed rock.

Pepperstrike jumped when Oakheart spoke, and he looked up, guilt flashing in his eyes. He'd been caught up in his thoughts, and they weren't thoughts of a loyal warrior. Placing the prey he'd caught on the pile, Pepperstrike tried to smile, hoping his nerves weren't showing. "Hey Oakheart. I'm alright, for such a cold morning. The forest is quiet, but the prey still runs." He said, glancing at his catches. Pepperstrike knew he should have told Oakheart about Ayki the moment the conversation started, but he didn't dare. He only prayed the tom wouldn't notice the way he dug his claws into the ground, nervousness radiating from him.

He gave a nod of his head,"Okay. I think it would be good for us to review some battle moves and practice. I doubt we need to use them but I want to be prepared." Once he felt he had a good amount of herbs, he turned to Hollyheart. "Let's take these back to camp. I think we have a good amount of herbs so far. Tomorrow we can set out to find some catmint."

The tom thought he saw movement and narrowed his eyes as he gazed around. Not seeing anything else, he reluctantly began to carefully descend the tree. Reaching a low enough branch, he dropped down to the ground with ease. "I thought I saw some movement over there. Want to check it out with me?"

The prey was most likely hiding away in their holes, getting ready for the cold weather. They would need to be quick and silent if they planned to catch anything.
