Eventually, however, Fox had fulfilled his exploration wishes and returned, only to find that he had been gone much, much longer than he'd anticipated, "Rain..?" he stepped quietly through the familiar path, that was much scarier when he was alone, "Um, you're not too far? Right?" he called. He didn't care if he got caught wandering off, now - he wanted to be back with someone who was safe.

"Fox?" The pale gray and white tabby she-cat called out, now being halfway home. He must've wandered off. Rain dropped the herbs she had been carrying and dashed off after the fading scent of her apprentice.

In his rush to find his mentor, Fox had gotten himself completely and utterly lost, "Rain?" he mewled loudly, fearfully, much like a kit who had lost his way, "Rain...!"

The pale gray and white tabby she-cat was suddenly overwhelmed with worry and uneasiness, and ran even faster to find Fox. "Fox! Where are you?!"

Fox froze, eyes wide and ears pinned back. Rain hadn't wanted them to go alone for a reason, right? There were other cats here, probably - nastier cats. Ones that could easily overpower a tiny cat like Fox. Mewling, he stayed where he was, hoping Rain would find him soon.

After several more moments of running, Rain managed to catch his scent once more, but this time the scent happened to be more recent. "Fox!"

Hearing his name, Fox's ears perked up. That was Rain..! Scared that he would accidentally run the wrong way, he cried, "I'm here..!"

After hearing her apprentice call out, the pale gray and white tabby she-cat breathed a sigh of relief, and followed towards where she heard his voice. "Fox! You should've known not to wander off!" Rain scolded, after she finally reached Fox.

Fox immediately ran to Rain, trembling and quiet. He knew he deserved the scolding, and whatever punishment came from disobeying like that, but he was just happy to no longer be alone. He squeaked a very quiet, nervous, "Sorry, ma'am,"

"Although, you won't get a punishment since I think getting lost is punishment enough. And, please don't do it again. We don't want any run-ins with anyone or anything dangerous." Rain chided, nudging Fox, and was now heading home.
