Once he had finished with making the storing hole for the moss, he went to the fresh-kill pile. It was
filled with fish. StoneFur must had went hunting in the morning, the medicine cat thought and grabbed
himself a pike.

Hawktalon felt a smile tug at the corner of his lips. Trotting after the pretty she-cat, he cleared his throat. "So, how have you been?" the young tom asked, increasing his pace slightly with a jovial bounce in his step. Just where I want to be. I only wish things could remain this way. Emerald eyes roving the undergrowth, he sheathed his claws, hoping for an easy catch before they got to the river.

Batpaw felt very foolish. So he decided to reckon. Relying on his namesake ears, he crept to the entrance and hesitated. Perhaps he could time it right, and no one would seem him looking absolutely ridiculous. Narrowing his turquoise eyes, he inhaled deeply, trying to keep from choking on the cob nuts.

He saw Batpaw storm off then went into the medicine cat den. "Have you and your apprentice been at it again?" He asked with a small sigh. Usually, Foxfur would keep to himself, but today Was different.

He lifted his head from eating the pike, after hearing LeopardStripe."That´s nothing that should concern
you." WindTail meowed quickly, focusing his attention back on the pike."If you don´t need anything, then
leave." He meowed, feeling irratated at these picerking questions.

Upon hearing Leopardstripe's voice so close, Batpaw jumped at least three feet in the air, slipped on the moss and landed on his tail with a crash. One of the cob nuts accidentally slid partially down his throat and he choked, exploding into raspy, disgusting sounding coughs. Once he regained his breath the medicine cat apprentice whirled, his unseeing eyes locking on where the molly warrior stood. His nape stood on end; not only had the warrior scared him, the question made his fur broil. "Does it even matter?" the ebony tom asked, trying to keep the edge out of his voice. Collecting the slobbery cob nuts, he carefully adjusted the moss, before clearing his throat a little. "Think you can get this cobweb off my ear?" he muttered, obviously wanting to change the subject.

Batpaw let a soft hiss escape his maw. Was everyone eager to get into his business? Some days, no one would talk to him for fear of setting him off. But today turned out to be a 'see what's up' day. Narrowing his filmy turquoise eyes, the ebony tom shook his head slightly. "I would like to talk about something more beneficial to the clan instead of providing fresh gossip. We need to get these herbs into the den, silently," the apprentice said bluntly, before padding into camp as quietly as he could, signaling for Leopardstripe to follow with his tail. I hope she listens to me. I don't want to talk about it, and maybe I can get it in without having to run into Windtail again.

The silver she-cat flicked her ears, hearing his question. "I've been doing fine." she purred, answering his question. "It's green-leaf, prey is running well, and all is peaceful. It really can't get to much better than this." she added, explaining why she was happy. "What about you?" she asked, returning to question. She cracked her mouth open, making sure she didn't miss anything on the way to the river.
