Trying to shake off more of the water, Swanfeather answered, "Yes, thank you, I'm just glad it's greenleaf and noon, and not leafbare at dusk. At least my pelt will dry more quickly."
Turning to face the other she-cat more fully now, she began to groom herself, that, if anything would get water off. She looked up after a moment. "If I may, why are you here? I don't mean to sound rude, but last time Dawnstar found a cat in RainClan's territory, she nearly bit their head off!"

"It should," Feather agreed, then smiled wryly. "I should hope she doesn't do that to me, because I will fight back if it means my life. As for why I'm here, I live here. I have for..." She thought for a moment. "6 or 7 moons now, I think."

Surprised, Swanfeather responded, "That long? It's a wonder no one has found you before, our territory is big, but not so big we don't notice other animals living near or in it."
A breeze drifted lazily across the river, and helped dry her fur somewhat. Remembering what she had came here for, Swanfeather paused a moment, then walked into the river again and back over to the watermint. Nipping off a few stalks, she returned to the loner and set down her herbs, shaking her paws in irritation.

Shellstorm had touched noses with her nearly made apprentice and acknowledged what Swanfeather had told her. Then, she looked at Mudpaw once the young cat asked her a question, flicking an ear. "Im going to show you the territory of course, though it won't be as important as training. We leave now. Best get it over with." she meowed, walking towards the camp entrance. Before leaving, she stopped and waited for Mudpaw to follow. "Quickly. Come along now"
