Oceanpaw's blue eyes shimmered, "it's beautiful." She felt uneasy on her paw from the cold, and snezed from the falling snow. It was awfully cold, but every falling flake made her fill with excitement.

Redwhisker was still hungry, a scrawny squirrel isn't enough to fill a warrior's belly during leaf-bare. He liked his paws and rubbed his muzzle to clean the left over morsel.

Whiteshadow glanced around for Mountainstar. He hasn't seen her eat yet so he wanted to offer one of his fresh kills to her.

"That reminds me, this is your first leaf bare isn't it?" Hazelfur asked, remembering the cat was just apprenticed a moon ago. "This is my second. The cold takes some getting used to, and the prey doesn't run as well, but it's...refreshing."

Oceanpaw nodded softly, her gaze still tword the sky. The apprentice looked back at Hazelpaw, tilting her head to the side, "Refreshing how? And its no worry about they prey!" She giggled slightly, "when i get to go out for training, I'll be lots of prey back!" Excitement made her even more happier than the falling snow.

Hazelfur-
"Of course," Hazelfur smiled at Oceanpaw's optimism. "You'll be a fine hunter! And by refreshing, it's just nice for a change in pace. After leaf-bare then we'll have newleaf, and it's all prettier then!"

"You think so?" She purred. "I can't wait, I'll catch everything! I'll, I'll be the best hunter in the clan!" She crouched down in a hunters position, her ears back and claws sinking in the snow. "I'll be the best hunter too!" She ran around Hazelfur, fast but light on her feet.

Hazelfur-
Hazelfur let out a mrrow of laughter, and smiled. "I bet you will! You certainly are quick on your paws," she noted. "But don't worry if you don't catch very much, prey's a bit hard to come by this time of year."

Oceanpaw sat with confidence, staring straight into the future. "I wish i could go out now, and train. And i will catch prey! Lots."she looked at Hazelfur in the eyes, " I wish you could take me out." She let her voice trail away and watched the snow fall again.

Hazelfur-
"I'm sorry Oceanpaw, I would if I could!" she felt pity for the apprentice. "Don't worry, Blacksong will take you out soon, she's a great warrior, you'll be happy with all she teaches you. How has your training gone so far?"

"I'm not sure," she looked down at her paws, "i think I'm doing okay." Oceanpaw kneaded at the ground, unsure if she really was doing great.
