Flashfrost padded around the territory nervously, thinking of his littermate, Cherrybreeze, who had just had new kits. He couldn't come see her because she was sleeping, so he anxiously paced back and forth, with nothing to do in the meantime.

Swimmingkit
Swimmingkit bounded out of the Nursery quietly; Cherrybreeze and her kits were sleeping and he didn't want to wake them up. He was so excited! In a moon or two, he would be able to have totally new playmates! Though, he did still have fairly new playmates. He saw Flashfrost pacing the camp and decided to go and see him. "Hi!" he squealed.

Moonlily yawned, stretching out on the Clan floor, stretching out on her back, purring in pure contentment. She didn't care that it was Leaf-bare; ever since she was littler, she's loved rolling in the snow. After a few minutes on her back, she sighed and then stood up, the cold finally getting to her. She shook her pelt out and yawned again. Arching her back, she licked her lips and began padding towards the fresh-kill pile. "Hello Flashfrost," she greeted the tom while she passed by him. "Congratulations on your brand new kin."

(I'll hold off on Foxpaw until his mentor is determined ^^)

"What do you want Swimmingkit?" Flashfrost grumbled. "I'm not in a very good mood at the moment," he said. "Cherrybreeze's kits might be sick, or hurt, or they might have been stillborn, or born with an illness that will make them die, or..or...." he trailed off, letting his imagination take over in front of this kit. Seeing Moonlily pass him, he just moaned with worry, and didn't respond with a thank you.

Swimmingkit cocked his head. The kits were fine, and healthy too! "Umm.. sorry to bug you again.. but the kits are lookin' really healthy to me. They are nursing well, and their eyes are even starting to open. I think they'll be just fine, don't worry." Swimmingkit mewed quietly. He didn't want to anger Flashfrost even more, he wanted to help.

Moonlily became a little confused when Flashfrost moaned at her words. Wonder what's up with him...? she thought to herself idly, then shook her head quickly, ignoring the thought. She made her way casually over to the fresh-kill pile, picking over the prey. It wasn't too large at this moment, so she figured she'd leave the prey for the cats that needed it more. She sighed and started padding slowly towards the Nursery, her heavy belly weighing her down a bit. She knew her kits were to be due soon, about a moon she estimated, and that meant she wasn't exactly allowed out of camp anymore. She squeezed inside of the Nursery and made her way silently over to her nest, careful not to wake Cherrybreeze.

"They are?" Flashfrost let out a sigh of relief in front of the kit. "Thank goodness. I'm not allowed to see them yet, so I've been worried sick. Thanks Swimmingkit," he said, silently apologizing for his rudeness earlier. He looked around for Moonlily so he could apologize to her as well, but didn't see her, and shrugged instead.

Once she reached her mossy nest, Moonlily settled down inside of it and closed her eyes. The breathing of Cherrybreeze's tiny newborn kittens calmed her. The four precious little kits seemed pretty healthy so far, but you never know... Moonlily shook her head slightly to clear her head of the thought. She simply could not wait for her kittens to be born. She was suddenly pushed into a flashback. It was of a gentle longhaired silver tom, his amber eyes warm. He was whispering soothing words to her, telling her she'd be alright. Then the pain returned. The pain of the scar on her side. It was almost gone now, but it would have taken longer if it weren't for... Moonlily's eyes jolted open as she shivered, stifling a gasp. No, she thought to herself quietly. He's a traitor. Always has been, always will be. Nothing but a rotten, stinking traitor...

Cherrybreeze's eyelids fluttered open, and she purred, cooing at her new kits. "Hello Moonlily," she murmured softly, licking her kits while she greeted the fellow queen.
