Kaylo spotted Lillie, and ran over to her. "What's wrong?" He looked around, his eyes growing suspicious. "Where's momma...?"

Kanuga hissed, standing beside Scarlet and letting the guard hairs along his spine rise. He snarled and spit, trying to look as brave, big and dangerous as he could.

Grim pinned him down by his throat, and watched with a sort of pride as Kanuga ran over at bit into the stranger's tail. "Then why were you moving through the bushes, through a clearly marked territory?"

"Owwch!" He said, wondering what bit his tail. "I'm really sorry, I was just dropped off into these woods, and don't know all the things. I'm really sorry." He said, being honest.

Arber walked over to Grim and the new dog. "Grim, I need to tell you something, and its really important." He said, sniffling, and trying to keep a serious face.

Grim turned his gaze to Arber, and sighed. He let go of Castro, and stepped back. "If you attack my mate's cub, I'll disembowel you, understand?" He walked over to Arber, and came close to the male's head. "What is it?" He said, his voice low.

Kanuga tugged on Castro's tail, trying to hold him in place for Grim. He hissed like a snake, and shook his head side to side.

Scarlet chuckled, she shook her head and sniffed the cub. "Come on," She said and turned around, flicking her tail. Scarlet stood next to Grim, listening.

Kanuga hesitated, not wanting to let the 'prisoner' go. He was determined to show how brave he was, and that he could be just as tough as the big dogs in the group.

Arber let tears roll down his face. He looked at Grim, not knowing how to say this. "It's...Ri...sh..she's.." He studdered, "Gone" He put his head down, his tears falling to the ground.

Castro got up, and shook off. He decided to relax, and went and sat down by a tree. He saw puppies, a baby cougar, and the other dogs, but there was one, that looked really unhappy. He walked up to her. "Hello, miss. Is everything alright?" He said, looking at her.

Grim understood right away, and lowered his head in an almost awkward show of respect to her memory. "And the pups? What will happen to them?" He thought also of Kanuga, who was still not ready to stop nursing. Ri had taken care of that, but now...

Kanuga chased after Castro's tail, swiping at it with his sharp claws, much sharper than a dog's. He growled. "Come back here, prisoner, or you'll face the wrath of my fangs!" He roared out, a high and scratchy sound.

Castro looked back, chuckling at the little cougar. He knew he was dangerous, so he stpped back. "Whoa there little guy. I'm no prisoner. See, if I was, I'd still be pinnned down." He said, trying to convince the cub.

Arber looked at him. "Well, Ri was teaching them how to hunt and eat meat, and Lillie said she'd take care of them, but now, its such a big jump for them." He said, worried for the puppies.

Kanuga snarled, trying to match Grim's look. "I am Kanuga, son of the dog Scarlet. I was entrusted to watch over you, prisoner! Grim knows I can do it, that's the only reason he let you live!" He swiped his claws at him again, hissing.

Grim shook his head. "They will manage. And the milk? What of Kanuga, who will nurse him?" He looked back for the cub, and spotted him hassling the newcomer. "Will someone please grab that little scrap before he hurts someone?" He almost laughed.

Sam swooped in and led Kanuga the other way. "Now, little one, that dog may be dumb to come here, but Grim has let him stay, and him and Scarlet sure wouldn't like it if you hurt him."

Arber shook his head. "I don't know. none of the females can produce milk" He looked at the puppies, upset of the news they would have to hear.

Serrie went up to Storm. "Wheres mommy? I'm hungry, but Lillie told us to stay with her. And she said she was sick, and I want to make sure she's okay." She said, looking at Storm with puppy eyes.
