Flowertail heard a growl from Cougar and glanced back. The poor tom was getting soaked, and he didn't quite like it. Flowertail quicked her pace, so that they were nearly running into camp. However, she slowed enough to squeeze through the entrance without hurting herself.

She slowly padded behind and got to camp last. She sat down and looked around, ears pricked. "What would they all say?" She muttered. "Too many..." She growled and shifted uncomfertably. Her scratches stung as she shook out her pelt.


Halfpaw»

He ran behind his mentor and slowed when the got to camp. He went through the entrance and licked his paw, rubbing his face. "Ow... ow ow.... Ow..." He hissed and looked around. The blood in his eyes hurt, but not as much as his bites on his face did.

Flowertail's gaze was worried as she looked at her apprentice, who'd gotten a nasty wound to the face. "Halfpaw, why don't you get treated? I can take care of these two. You definitely need to be looked at."

He looked around in awe, shaking out his pelt. It dried rather easily. He studied all the cats and then glanced down at Flowertail nervously.

In spite of the water that had been slowly drenching the camp throughout the day, Quailfeather was thirsty. She had been avoiding going out to the small lake in the camp due to the rain, but found that the puddles forming in camp tasted more than just a little unpleasant. Finally giving in, the silver and white molly excused herself from her conversation with Lilynose, and padded quickly out to the water, ears pinned back against her head. A bright orange pelt at the water's edge stopped her for a moment. I'm surprised he's not still surrounded by an entourage. Even without being directly involved, it had been hard to not take notice of all the commotion in the camp today.
Quailfeather padded up beside the tom. "Hello, Scorchstar," she mewed in greeting before dipping her head down to lap at the water a few times. She raised it after a moment, water dripping from her whiskers, usually smooth fur spiky. "Believe it or not, I actually don't have something related to a rouge to report," she said playfully, smiling at her leader. "I'm surprised you were able to get away for a moment."

Troutsplash looked over the three warriors before him and nodded. "Good," he mewed. "Unfortunately, the rain will have rinsed away the rouge's scent by the fresh-kill pile by now, but we know what rouge smells like. So stay sharp, and don't hesitate to bring it up if you scent anything." Confidant in his patrol's abilities, Troutsplash turned towards the camp's entrance and waved with his tail for the small group of cats to follow. He hardly cared about the rain quickly soaking his thick pelt. The tom had a task to do, and he would do it well.
Once a fair distance outside camp, the grey-brown tabby motioned with his tail again for the patrol to halt and tasted the air, whiskers quivering with anticipation. "Do any of you smell anything? I think I might," he said, straining to hold onto the non-clan scent that was barely detectable through the water pouring from the sky.

A quiet purr rumbled in Cactusfoot's throat at Silverkit's antics. She reminded him so much of his own daughters when they were just little scraps of fur many moons ago. After finishing his mice, the old tom's cloudy green eyes began to slide shut, and he yawned widely. "Thank you Flarepaw," he mewed to the fiery young molly, "But I think I'd rather rest. 'can't keep my eyes open," he rasped, yawning again. "Go cause trouble. And Noeyes! Don't catch a cold out there; Starclan knows I don't want it!"

"Okay, you two." Flowertail meowed, turning to the loners. "Please follow me, while I find Scorchstar." The she-cat looked around for the tom, and spotted him speaking to another warrior. "Pardon me, Scorchstar, but we have... more visitors who'd like to speak to you."
