Russetpaw was glad to know that she would be venturing out of camp again with Thorntail, soon. As he left to speak with Tinycloud, she pushed away any feelings of disappointment, and turned her gaze to her brothers as they tumbled around in the soft grass in front of the apprentice's den. "Are you ok?" She asked Thorntail softly as he returned, and brushed her side against his, enjoying his warmth.

Once Rootpaw gave up trying to beat him, Firepaw sat up, licking the dust from his chest fur. At the sound of his mentor's voice after the meeting, he went in search of her. "Scarletfeather?" he called gently, not wanting to alarm her.

"Yes, just had to say something to Tinycloud. I still love you!" He teased, licking her ear lovingly and watched her brothers. "Quite the rascals, huh?"

Russetpaw purred and closed her eyes, taking in his scent. She felt warm from nose to tail tip as she her the words she wanted to hear, come from his lips. "I'm glad!" She mused, opening her eyes to watch as Firepaw left. "Yes, definitely," She agreed with an exasperated sigh, "Especially Rootpaw. He has more energy than a kit!"

"I can see!" Thorntail watched the kits for a few moments before turning his head to the apprentice beside him and flicking his ears. "Before it gets dark, would you like to go hunting? It would keep up from getting bored."

She jumped around the forest she sented more cats and hid in a bushes.

She eventually pulled her attention away from her brothers, and met Thorntail's gaze, smiling. "Sure!" She agreed, rising to her paws. She knew that she'd be tired for the dawn patrol, but so much excitement flooded through her, that she felt like she could run forever. "Where to?" She asked, stretching.

Scarletfeather looked down at Rootpaw. "Yes?" She asked him.

Firepaw met his mentor's gaze equally, and sat up so that there was no need for her to look down on him. "I was wondering when we could start my warrior training?" He asked her. He had gone out on hunting patrols, and border patrols, but the only fighting practise he had ever done was when he was play fighting with his siblings.

She thought the two cats where gone she she peeked out. She looked from left to right over again. Then a cat seen her as her bell rang.

"Let's go then." Scarletfeather meowed and padded to the entrance if the cave.

Firepaw's ears twitched with excitement, although he tried not to show it. He shot an excited look over at Rootpaw from where he watched in front of the Apprentices' den. His brother rolled his eyes and lay down heavily on his paws. Firepaw was excited to be back in the forest, and to see the training hollow for the first time.
