Gathering

Winterfur hissed at all the cats staring at her. She spotted an apprentice staring at her(Littlepaw) and snarled. "What are you looking at? Look at the leaders for StarClan's sake!" She spat. The deputy was indeed a traitor, but she didn't exactly respect her punishment. Winterfur slunk through the trees and out from the gathering area. She walked around the forest, looking for something to kill. It didn't matter...Prey or Cat, she would kill it.

Snowclaw and Skysong both shook their heads in dismay. They were appauled by the IceClan Deputy's actions. They glanced at each other, exchanging glances of worry. The deputy was in deep trouble..

Jayscar, Pinefeather and Sunheart stared up at Skystar, shock was all over their faces. They glanced over at Winterfur but the She-Cat was no where in sight. Jayscar tilted her head, where could she be?

Flamestar and Dawnstar exchanged a glance. Skystar's news was shocking, yet belivable. The two Clan leaders never did trust Winterfur...She had traitor writen all over her.

Rainpaw walked out of camp and chased after some prey, but catching none. She couldn't seem to figure out why she had so much energy. She suddenly wondered how the gathering was going.

"The Gathering ?" Cresentkit spoke enviously of the word. "If I were only an apprentice right now ... I'd be there, talking to all the good warriors like Flameheart, Stripetail ... " Northernkit mewed decisively between licks, "We'll definitely get our turn, we just need to wait a bit." "Easy for you to say - I just can't wait to be an warrior !" Mistkit mewed, running a claw down the side of a leaf. "We need to prove to this to Sunstar !" Cresentkit declared.
"Prove what ... ?" Mistkit asked dreamily. "That we're already fit to be warriors mouse-brain !" Cresentkit drew closer to her littermates, her eyes sparkling with determination and hope. "I'm not sure ... didn't mother say the clan is already in a fight and not to make anymore 'trouble' ?" Northernkit bristled. "Oh ... but mummy didn't say to help ! She said 'trouble' ! We're not going to make 'trouble' by helping her, right ? We're going to the Gathering ourselves !" Cresentkit puffed out her chest. "I Cresentstar of SunClan -" Mistkit shoved her of her perch. "I Miststar of -" he began. "Hey ! I'm Sunstar !" "No I'm !" Northernkit listened to their bickering. "I am !" Northernkit claimed. "I Northernstar of SunClan is proud of you to present -" The two kits burst out with mrows of laughter. "You look funny with your chest all big - !" Cresentkit choked, giggling. "I don't look funny !" Northernkit leapt on them in a invitation of a play-fight. "Cresentstar declares CresentClan to descend on MistClan and NorthernClan !" Cresentkit screeched, batting Northernkit's ear softly. And they all burst out laughing. But Northerkit paused and fixed his gaze on Flowerface.

Sunclan
Ravenkit, twitched his nose a bit at the odd stench of the bundle of herbs the Sunclan medicine cat had set down before him. They scented a bit familiar... Ah yes! He remembered the smell of those herbs coming from the medicine cats den many times before. He wasn't exactly sure wether he liked the scent or not, it was hard to say. Now, all there was left to find out was wether or not he liked the taste of them. He bent his head down slowly, hesitantly, and cautiously lapped at them a bit. Immediately, his face twisted in distaste. "Ick" He stuck out his tongue, shuddering.

Featherkit shrugged, sniffing a bit. Where was she? She pricked her ears, listening to the sound of the she-cats voice very carefully, concentrating hard. Finally, she stopped, and looked up a bit. She was very close, but just a little off. She wasn't looking the medicine cat directly in the eyes, mostly just at her ears. Still, it was close enough for a newly blind kit.

Flowerface closed her eyes, the noise of the kit's playing outside grating on her ears. "Thank you, Ravenkit. I need to speak with Featherkit alone for a moment." She shot a warning glance in the direction of Crescentkit, Mistkit, and Northernkit. "That goes for you three as well."
Fernkit looked up at her mother. She obviously needed some help. The pale-furred kit padded out of the leader's den and over to the other kits. "Can we go back to the apprentice den? I don't know about you, but I'm really tired."

Gathering

The fur on Nightfall's neck raised. Their own deputy! Personally, he was glad that Skystar had punished Winterfur in front of all the clans. He looked for the rebellious cat, eager to see her reaction. Moments later, he spotted her. Leaving the gathering. This looked suspicious.

Rainstar cleared her throat, shocked by Skystar's report. It was clear that everyone else was equally stunned. I guess it's my turn. She stepped to the front of the crowd, preparing her small report. "WaterClan has nothing much to report. Prey is extremely plentiful, considering the season. We have plenty of fish to go around if this leafbare proves hard for those in colder climates." Uncertain how the cats would react to her generosity, Rainstar sat back down quickly.

Silvertail puffed out her chest fur at how well her clan was doing. She gave her fur a few proud licks and went back to watching the crowd, a smile on her face now.

Flamestar looked around, still stunned from Skystar's report. Guess it's my turn... She thought, stepping forward. "EarthClan is well, prey is running quite well and we have recovered from the DarkClan battle. I must say that I am proud of the Clans who fought several moons ago. You fought well, and we have victory to show for it." Flamestar stepped back, looking around at the leaders.

Dawnstar nodded at Flamestar. "Thank you, Flamestar. LeafClan is as usual. Prey is running, and warriors are training their apprentices hard." Dawnstar stepped back, dipping her head to the leaders surrounding her.

Winterfur stopped and spotted a squirrel. She crouched down and hissed silently. She put one paw infront of the other and slunk forward. Winterfur sprang and killed it with one feirce bite to the neck. She sat down to eat. Who needs IceClan...Or any of the Forest Clans She thought.

(I PMed you both. Hmm... I wonder when Rose will get here. Let's try not to make it too hard for her to catch up. Oh, and if you didn't get it, the cat I posted was my sister's. She can't post on hers for...reasons, so she posts her cats on mine sometimes. Oh, did you guys notice the new form on the front page? I thought that would be fun to have. x3 It would be more fun if you would fill out your own. *hint hint* The last part of it is just a joke because I copied it from the cat form. You're technically not supposed to tell your age.)

Ashfeather continued grooming her brother, trying to soothe him. She listened carefully to the leaders as well, scanning their words for details on the battle. When she heard Skystar's punishment, her neck bristled in surprise and hostility. She exchanged a glance with Nightfeather, who looked equally as surprised if more frightened. A traitor in their midst? This was not good news. Rainstar's report was much simpler, although she hinted that some clans may have to rely on fish to survive. Hopefully AirClan would not be one of the those that would have to leech off of WaterClan's good fortune. Flamestar and Dawnstar were boring, as usual. Nothing ever seemed to happen in EarthClan or LeafClan. And there had only been brief mentioning of the battle with DarkClan. The leaders all knew that that was what the cats wanted to hear, so why didn't they spill?!

Nightfall backed away from the small group he was standing in, hoping no one would notice. To his dismay, Nightfire turned her head after his second step. The black tom froze, anticipating his sister's reaction. She looked him up and down with one cocked eyebrow and slowly, reluctantly, turned her head back to the leaders. She would let him go. For now. Nightfall turned and sprinted into the trees, the white star on his forehead shining in the moonlight. The rest of him was camoflauged by the darkness. He ducked into the undergrowth, searching for cover to hide the bright fur that could reveal him. There she was, feasting on the remains of the squirrel several fox-lengths away. He didn't dare move for fear of revealing himself.
