He nodded and padded over to the fresh kill pile. "Hey, wanna share a mouse with me?" he asked Birchkit politely. The tom picked it up in his jaws.

Sagestep
She shrugged at the deputy's question. "We could hunt by the river." Sagestep suggested to the rest of the hunting patrol.

Hawkfeather
He looked over at Fiercestrike with a friendly smile. "I hope Rosestar doesn't come back. If she does, i'll protect you, Fiercestrike." the tom promised.

She smiled at his words, "Thanks, Hawkfeather."
Fiercestrike looked ahead, hearing Rosepaw's footsteps behind her.

Hunter nodded, understanding the young cat's plight, "Don't worry, it's not that great. Most of the time you're left alone, but if they ever leave you, you could be stuck inside, like me."

He then gave a friendly flick of his tail, "But it's nice to know I'm not the only one to be born outside the clan."

"Hawkfeather," she said suddenly as they walked, "I know I've been acting…strange…but it's not because of you or anybody here, it's just I feel almost out of place sometimes," she eyed him carefully, "I just…I wasn't born in this clan."
She sighed, "I just worry that I won't be enough or I don't do something right and…have to be moved again."
