Hawksky smiled back, relieved. "Waterpaw!" he called to his apprentice. "We're going hunting!"

"Borders?" suggested Sandstar. She was liking this she-cat. She just hoped this Princess would know what to expect. "You know," Sandstar began. "The Clan, Dawnclan, could use more cats. But clan life is hard. You have to fight and hunt and do patrols. Sometimes you go without eating, especially in leaf-bare. You can't run to your twolegs when it gets cold, you work even harder. You might even have to die for your clan." She paused. "But clanlife is also good. You'll be free. You can use your instincts to hunt and fight. There is no Twoleg telling you what you can and can't do. You will know the companionship of other cats. They will always be on your side. Clan life may not be as easy as a kittypet life, but it is much more rewarding."

Waterpaw was batting at a butterfly. She didn't hear her mentor,but she came back to earth at his sharp reprimand. " Oh, sorry! Sure!" She raced over to him and nearly tripped over a rock,but she regained her balence clumsilly. "Let's go!" she mewed with excitement.

"Now, where do you think would be a good place to hunt on a day like this?" Hawksky asked.

"Maybe the... waterfall? For fish," she mewed uncertinatly. (Sorry,I don't know the places of the forest or the weather.)

"Good!" praised Hawksky. "The sun is high, so the fish will be out in the warmth. We'll also be able to keep our shadows out of the water."

"Yay! I'll race you!" Without waiting for an answer,she sped off. "Can't catch me!" she teased. (I want her warrior name to be Waterrush)

Waterpaw skidded to a stop and nearly fell into the water. " Ha, I bet you! This is the waterfall?! Wow! It's so... watery! Woosh! Oh, a little fish! How do I catch it?" She asked,bouncing up and down with excitement.
