She was a little nervous about the look on Cacaopaw's face, but she nodded. "That was a quick trip." she mewed. "I thought you would be there for much longer." She followed the warrior out of camp, checking to make sure the other apprentice wasn't falling behind.

Coatistare stepped back into camp from the spot in the territory she was resting in, yawning and stretching out her legs. The idea of training her apprentice wasn't on her mind, although she should do something.

Anacondfang nodded in understanding. "Yes, Jaguarstar." He was obviously worried about Mambastride, but he knew there wasn't any more to be said on the matter--plus he didn't want to worry the camp guard's apprentice who had just walked up. "Be careful out there," he said to Jaguarstar before turning and taking his place where the guards normally kept watch.

Pythontail's tail flicked once at having his question ignored, but he said nothing as he dipped his head and went to go tell Fishbelly to see Jaguarstar, before returning to where Spottedstorm and Whitetail were waiting, who had now been joined by Silverpaw. "Spottedstorm, Silverpaw, you're coming hunting with me and Cobrastorm to hunt," he told them. Turning to Whitetail, he nodded in the direction of their leader and said, "Jaguarstar has need of you."

Silverpaw blinked at Pythontail's words before nodding and turning to his mother. "Do you think everything--do you think Mambastride is okay?" he asked quietly.

Before Whitetail could respond to his mate, Pythontail approached and gave the cats instructions. He flattened one ear when the camp guard mentioned that all of them would be going hunting but him--had Jaguarstar wanted to exclude him because he knew Whitetail wasn't getting along with Spottedstorm? But he detected a hint of urgency in the camp guard's tone when Pythontail told him of the leader's need of him, and he nodded. Bidding goodbye to his mate and son, he padded over to Jaguarstar. "Yes, Jaguarstar?" he asked, immediately sensing that this was about something more serious.

Almost as soon as Fishbelly had started to follow Cobrastorm, he was stopped by Pythontail, who told him to see Jaguarstar. Despite being a bit confused, he didn't ask any questions--and didn't have a chance to before the camp guard stalked away anyway--as he made his way over to their leader. "Pythontail tells me you have need of me."

Peacockpaw simply winked at Canopypaw, only holding his head a little higher when Tapirfoot didn't respond. The warrior was clearly too proud to admit he'd been wrong. He scented the air as he walked along, flanked by the two apprentices, his steps soft but regal. "You're acting just fine," he assured Lochpaw, lowering his voice so that only she and Canopypaw could hear. "Don't worry what the warriors say. They obviously don't know what they're talking about."

Cacaopaw followed after her mentor silently, still a bit unsettled. She gave a nervous half-smile at Kinkajoupaw's comment and nodded. "Yeah, guess I'm getting faster, huh?" Despite having wanted nothing more than to be alone just moments ago, she now stuck close to the other apprentice's side, finding comfort and security in the company of her clanmates. If there was one thing that could pull her out of her otherwise normally apathetic state, it was even the slightest sign of danger.

Rainfall simply blinked curiously at Cacaopaw as the apprentice rejoined them. She sensed there was something on the apprentice's mind, but wasn't curious enough to ask any questions as she followed the patrol out. "Where are you thinking of heading?" she asked Tigerlily instead.

She walked forward to hearing what the other warrior asked at her "I was thinking to try the western border of the forest and stream there. maybe we could found some small monkeys or something different" she responded to her. She walked to a rock which took to the west border "If you have some better ideas, free to tell them?" she meowed to her "I know there is being seen some alligators, but hopefully they stay onto the dirty water" she meowed to her, looking at Kinkajoupaw and Cacaopaw.

Her eyes then turned to look the forest in front of them for anything dangerous, but so far anything looked good, she did notice some bird into the trees, but those was already saw them and could not be easy to catch.

J a g u a r s t a r sat down, wrapping his tail around his paws as his patrol reported to him. As Pythontail and Silverpaw left, he began to speak. "All right, here's the plan. Weaselpaw - go check the warriors' den one last time. Mambastride's scent is stale in camp, and no cat recalls seeing him in there. Likely that means he's out on his own - which is bad, and every cat knows why." As Whitetail joined them, he nodded. "Mambastride has disappeared without a trace," he said. "We'll be scouring the forest for his scent. We'll follow it until we can't possibly follow it any longer. Prepare for danger - we'll head towards the river, unless we find reason to divert."

The warrior walked over to join the rest of the hunting patrol and was close enough to hear SilverPaw ask about MambaStride. She didn't have any hopes of them finding the tom especially with all the predators within the clan's territory and the fact the clan had a rule to not leave camp alone but she decided against speaking her mind as she'd be proven right or wrong eventually. She glanced over at PythonTail and was ready to leave when he decided they should.

While the she-cat was looking, she caught sight of her mentor reentering camp and couldn't help but be confused when she came back alone. She knew the rule that no cat should wander out of camp alone and was surprised to see that Coatistare had completely ignored the said rule. She shook her head knowing it wasn't her job to teach her mentor the rules and approached her "Morning Coatistare, I was wondering if me and ToucanPaw could train together. Leopardheart already said it was okay but we wanted to find you before starting" She spoke and couldn't help but find it ironic that it was her ,the apprentice, asking to train instead of Coatistare telling her to train. In fact, she bet that if she hadn't said anything that her mentor would have completely forgotten to train her.
