Nightwatcher looked over his shoulder at the clan. He knew they all trusted him fully, even though he was once a kittypet, but he still always had that sense to look over his shoulder, like something was watching.

In this case, it happened to be Blueswallow, also known as the man who lost a bet, along with a just-caught mouse dangling from his jaws. "Phtoo," he exclaimed softly after dropping it, "There 'ya go. One mouse as promised."

shadedpaw padded outside, the wind ruffling her soft, fluffy dark grey fur. her amber eyes shimmered in the light and she sighed, flattening her ears against her head. she was thinking about hollypaw again. even though she frequently saw hollypaw in her dreams and when she visited the moonpool/stone/whatever it is, she still missed her sister dearly, as well as her parents, glowingfire and spidergaze.

shadedpaw sighed, looking through the camp for anyone to talk to. why would anyone even want to talk to me? i let my sister die! she thought miserably. things just hadn't been the same since she was forced to watch her sister slip away from her, without a choice. she shook her head and then padded to the fresh-kill pile and picked out a measly mouse, slipping back into her den and eating it slowly, as she wished to savor it.

I padded away silently from the clearing, concerned about the badger. Though I quickly bounced back from the little episode, and bounded off to the fresh-kill pile. I frowned, there was not much left. I padded out a bit and managed to catch myself a plump rodent. You wouldn't believe how useful a sneaky pounce from above would be. I carried it back to the warriors den, and ate happily.

I stalked away from the other cats, and went into the apprentice's den. You don't even KNOW how dumb this meeting was, all it was was about this old badger killing the deputy.
It didn't really matter much to me, besides now I'll be irritable because I was woken up by Bearstar's meeting.

I happily bounced away from the clearing, looking for something to do. I had already been awake, so I was happy that FINALLY some action would happen, I always wake up early and theres nothing to do. I looked around, wondering if anyone might want to chat or something. I noticed shadedpaw pad out to the fresh-kill pile. I bounded over. "Ooh, Hi Shadedpaw! Whatcha doing?" I asked cheerily. Though, By the time I got that out, she'd already slipped away. Aw.

Bearstar looked at his warriors with a great sorrow, thinking inside his head that if they didn't find the badger, any one of them could be killed. As he entered his den, he waved his tail to ask for silence among the few warriors. "Greetings, my friends. I asked you in here because you are all respected by me, and I want help with my decision. I have made up my mind what I'm going to do about the badger, but I need your assistance carrying my plan out." He paused, letting everyone catch up. "I've decided to go after the badger. Wolfrunner, I'd like you to organise scent trips. Take at least 3 cats with you, preferably more. When you find a badger scent, report to me. Move swiftly my friend. When you return, Ferretstripe will have organised some attack parties. Wolfrunner will lead one alongside Ferretstripe, and I will lead another alongside Stormheart. Pebbleheart, you'll stay here and watch over the clan, in case anything happens whilst we're gone - find another warrior to stay with you. Finally, Aspenglow. When we return, we may bring casualties. I need you to stock up on herbs, and be ready to do what you do best. Rope in some more apprentices to assist you. Everyone know what they're doing? Any questions?"
