Dovepelt picked out a mouse from the fresh kill pile, before taking it to a secluded area and quickly eating it. She then licked her lips, before padding slowly over to Venompaw and Skyeyes, "What's going on with Poppypaw?" she asked quietly.

Hawkpaw padded over to the Apprentice den and peered inside. When he saw Poppypaw sleeping, he quietly padded over to her nest and gently shook the she-cat.

Poppypaw slept more, while she was really off with Orionpaw and the members of the Dark Forest.


Lunstar jumped onto the High Trunk and mewed for a Clan Meeting.

Moonflame went to wake his granddaughter.

Poppypaw bristled. "Uh, mom, what about me?"

"You went last month, and your behaviour lately has not been very nice. So I'm sorry, but you can stay back with Dovepelt. If anything happens when we're gone, rush and get Skyeyes. If not, stay here."
