{Since I already have an owl with the Guardians, I thought I should make a Pure One. We need more of those. By the way, I have two websites here about Melanism in Barn Owls, and then a Wikipedia page about Melanism in general - in case you want to check and make sure I'm not making this up or anything .3. Here:

I was wondering if it was alright, since the websites state that Melanistic Barn Owls are indeed much stronger than a normal Barn Owl. To be fair, I will make sure I don't powerplay her or anything during roleplay, and she can have a vulnerable weakness in her wing. Her form will explain everything. Murr xP}

Personality:
Ebony is a temperamental owl. Since she was born she has always felt rejected, different, and like she doesn't belong - because of the dark pigmentation of her feathers. She has a hard time trusting owls, and can get very defensive/aggressive when the color of her feathers are mentioned. She is strong and powerful, but not very fast thanks to the injury in her wing.
History:
The day Ebony hatched, her mother knew something was wrong with her; the owlet's fluffy feathers were darker than her two brothers. At first her mother simply dismissed it as a slight malfunction in coloring that would resolve itself as she got older. But as Ebony aged, her mother's fears were confirmed. Her oldest daughter's feathers did not lighten as she aged - indeed quite the opposite. She looked more like a demon than a Barn Owl. At about 5 weeks old, her angry and confused mother determined she was not worthy of life because of her coloring, and snatched her in her talons rather roughly. Ebony squeaked, confused and scared. Her mother - who was actually a good friend to a member of the Pure Ones - brought her daughter to the place they resided. She made a deal with them that if they never bothered her family, she would give them her daughter. At first they were suspicious of the young owl's strangely dark feathers, but accepted her, as they needed more troops. The deal was made and Ebony's mother returned to her nest, leaving her daughter with the Pure Ones.
Ebony was taught how to fly and fight as soon as she could, but was constantly teased and ridiculed by most other owls Pure Ones-in-training alongside her. One day she got fed up with it and attacked an owl after he told her she didn't belong anywhere. Because of her extra strength due to Melanism, she beat the older owl and gave him a nasty gash down his moon-shaped face; unfortunately suffering a broken wing in the process. Her broken wing never healed quite properly, so she has trouble flying quickly or speedily in combat - plus, if an owl were to strike that weakened area of her wing, it would most likely cause her great pain and she would be vulnerable.
