Honeyleaf pads in, "It was poisoned." She snaps. "Now get away from it!" She growls and shoos them out

Sunpaw shuffled out of the elders' den after touching her mother's flank with her nose. She bounded out to the apprentice's den. "Weird, huh, guys?" she asked.

Foxpaw nodded. "Yeah."

"Mmm..." Rainpaw agreed, nodding.

Sunpaw watched Foxpaw out of the corner of her eye. There was something about him that she liked, and he was such a nice cat. Her gaze drifted to Rainpaw. He was nice as well, and a good friend, definitely, but... but what? To her, there was nothing Foxpaw had that Rainpaw didn't. The opposite applied, also. They were the same, in almost all ways, and equal in terms of skill, and... looks, although her mind shied away a little at that. She flicked her tail. She didn't want to be a queen the rest of her life, kits were great and all, maybe someday, but there was still so much to get out of being a warrior. She shook her head, clearing it of thought. Then her mind wandered back. Why was she suddenly comparing her two best friends? She let her mind wander until it settled on asking a question.
Given the choice, would she rather be with Foxpaw or Rainpaw?
She mused for a little while, and was almost upset at how quickly an answer came to her. Why him, not the other? She began flicking her tail slowly and repeatedly, lost in thought and her eyes a little glazed over, only wondering why. Then the part of her mind that never seemed to pay any attention pointed out that she was kind of young for these thoughts, so she sighed and laid down.

"Are you okay Sunpaw?" Rainpaw asked worriedly, "You seem upset."

" 'm fine." mumbled Sunpaw, sighing again. She glanced up at Rainpaw. She looked as if she was going to say something, but just said "Never mind." instead, and put her head on her paws. "I'm just bored now." She yawned, and tried to think of other things, rather then her fellow apprentices.

"Okay then," Rainpaw mewed unsurely, Something's on her mind, he thought, he searched his mind but couldn't find an answer. "Wanna go hunting Foxpaw?" he asked trying not to worry about Sunpaw.

Foxpaw nodded. "Sure." He meowed, jumping to his paws.

"How about you Sunpaw, want to join us?" Rainpaw mewed to the unhappy-looking apprentice.
