BladeFire coughed hard, and could feel blood run form the corner of his mouth. He ran up to the others looking for leafstorm, he coughed again spitting up blood.

Fishpool looked at Sunstorm. "Look! We're nearly there!" The end of the forest was only a couple of steps away.

"Save her first!" Viperstar spluttered to the other cats. He looked thankfully up at Nightshade as she bagan to dig his paw out.

BladeFire climbed up on a high rock, he could see leafstorm and she looked like she could pass out at any second "I can see her!" He said coughing again.

Icethorn paced around the flaming bushes for a moment, trying to find an opening that wouldn't burn him up to badly. He found a slight opening between the branches and sprang through. The smoldering branches raked through his pelt, but he barely noticed as he headed for Leafstorm, who was trapped in the flames. [Colo=blue]"Are you hurt?"[/color] he called throguh the flames

Nightshade growls as she strikes a particularly hot section in the ash, bit just keeps digging. She was sure that she must be getting close to loosening the ground enough for Viperstar to free himself. She goes as fast as she can, but is care as to not end up clawing Viperstar on accident. That was easier said then done, seeing the chaos around her though. It felt as though cats were dying all around her, which might very well be true as well.

BladeFire jumps down and started coughing non-stop his head was throbbing and his vision was turning blurry.

Leafstorm
i cough again managing to choke out "I cant breathe!" before the world around me goes black. i can hear the faint voices around me, the crackling of flames... I open my eyes. The air is clear and still. There are no flames. No other cats. i stand. But wait there were cats! Shimmering cats. Star cats. "Oh Starclan I can't be dead!" i yowl anger filling up inside me "I can't die now! The clan needs me!".i look around and i recognise cats from all the old clans and some of the old elders of Hawkclan. A cat steps forward. i do not recognise them "It is not your time Leafstorm... You are right... You still have your kits to care for" "KITS!" i exclaim "WHAT KITS!" then i understand "Badgermask's kits..." i say softly. The starry cat nods. "We will send you back. To care for them and to help your clan. Promise them this... they will survive, though not without loss. And they will find a new home. A new clan will help them. Cougars are your only hope of a new home." "What do you mean!" i call "Cougars?" but i am fading. back to a world of fear and flames. i gasp and breath again. but i am still trapped.

Badgermask yowled when the flames licked at his pelt, the fur there burning a bit before he leaped away and onto a hot fallen log, he'd spotted the edge of the forest but everyone needed to be able to make it, her perked his ears to the sounds of Viperstar's and Nightshade's voices before the bark he was stood on fell away and he slipped back to the ground with a hiss. He then spotted Leafstorm and Icethorn not so far away and felt his heart leap into his mouth, struggling with his voice over the smoke he called out to them.

i hear Badgermask's voice "I'm ok!" i call "But i can't get out! And i think the roof is about to cave in!" i say panic rising in my meow

"What are we going to do Viperstar?" i ask as my leader stands, his paw now free of the log

[size=85]Icethorn heard a noise from behind him, but didn't seem to acknowledge Badgermask's call. Instead, he stood, analysing the bush before him. Leafstorm was right, it looked like it was about to collapse. His blue eyes shone through the smoke and he let out a cough before clamping his jaws shut again. They had to get Leafstorm out. But how? It didn't look like there was an opening big enough for them to get through.
