Streamspot had risen early as usual and left the warriors den to sit in the clearing of camp and groom her pelt out in silence. She listened as her clan-mates eventually began their morning routines and rose from their nests. She watched as the warriors began to gather in the clearing and she mentally began pairing them off into different patrols. She would normally begin sending them off already, but today there was a job to do before any other. Her eyes flicked to the nursery as a couple kits hurtled out the opening. She couldn't help the purr that rumbled lowly her throat as she watched them. Foxcloud's kits were more than ready for their apprenticeship. Especially the slightly older one that Foxcloud had adopted in, Bramblekit. Streamspot always found it strange how Southstar found him out wondering one day. Rising to her paws she decided she better make sure the leader was up. As she looked into the opening of his dark den and smelled his scent she felt her heart flutter in her chest. Which made her tail lash in annoyance behind her. She knew her feelings were growing for the dark tom-cat but she also knew she didn't have time for them! Pushing her thoughts away she called out softly, "Southstar?"

After Bearpaw's punishment of dawn patrols she found out that she rather loved being up and out in the forest first thing in the morning. She now always volunteered for the patrol and was becoming known for her willingness to double up on many patrols. She trounced back into camp from her patrol this morning and quickly spotted her friend Artemis along side Elmshade and Hazefire. She purred at the sight. She was glad the clan was beginning to accept the outsider. Bearsong had been keeping close tabs on her and trying to help fill her in on the basics of clan life. And today she would fully be accepted! Bearsong waived her tail encouragingly at the she-cat but didn't approach as she figured it would be good for her to get to talk to some of the other clan-mates. Seeing Ivypaw by herself outside the medicine cat den she padded over. "Morning!" she meowed cheerily to the medicine cat sitting down beside her and curling her striped tail over her white toes. Her nose wiggled as she sniffed the smells in the air. "Whatever herbs you were messing with last smell good! You smell like a flower."

Bramblekit was having a dream of flying through a dark forest. A achingly familiar scent, but one that he couldn't quite remember where from, was the only thing he could smell. A cream colored cat raced before him but she was too fast and he couldn't see who she was. He continued through this confusing dream until it was finally broken apart by a noise. "Daydream!"
Bramblekit jerked awake and after a moment of shock realized he was still in his nest with his family. He thought of them all that way and frequently forgot that Foxcloud wasn't his real mother. He blinked sleep from his eyes as he remembered waht today was bringing for them. He hopped to his paws and padded over to Foxcloud, Daydream, Redkit, and Wrenkit. "Morning mother!" he meowed rubbing his ear along her shoulder and purring. "OH mouse!" he exclaimed as he saw the present Daydream had brought.

Pinekit's tail twitched grumpily as the others started to wake up around him. Willowkit had hopped over the top of him and thrown moss onto him. He huffed as he pushed it off of him. Looking around he realized Applekit had already left. Acornspots was still asleep. Knowing that she was supposed to tell their mother before they left the nursery he decided he better go and get her before she got in trouble. He squeezed out of the nursery and walked on short legs around camp until he saw Applekit and Russetswirl together. "Hey!" he huffed at Applekit. "You're supposed to tell Acornspots before you leave!"

Lillackit opened her mouth in a large yawn before her still kit blue eyes blinked open. Her whiskers twitched as she saw the older kits jumping around. Turning to her mother she blinked at her slowly and snuggled in a little closer enjoying the warmth if her fur and her brother's pelts nearby. "I can't wait til we get to go in the forest." she meowed sleepily.

She opened her eyes when the light entered the empty den, six moons were passed and she was still there alone, well there was not that old or injured cats yet, so there could not anyone to join her anytime soon anyway. She was still seriously thinking the Littleflower's words about her having kits, but she didn't have any luck for a tom who could be ready for that, most of them wanted a mate to have kits or at last, had some feelings for the mother. She was even thinking for a loner tom, but that could be way too risky to her and where she could find a loner tom now.

He sat near the warrior's den for a moment, just watching the clan and it's cats, his eyes turn to the nursery once again, seeing how the medicine cat was there as well, wondering if the newly made queen could be awakened already. He thought for a moment before started to make his way to the nursery, his eyes looking at Daydream, then to Stagleap "Good morning Stagleap, kits" he meowed walking toward them with a smile, over some of the Lilackit's words "Well you need to be very patient, before you're ready for the big worlds there, waiting for you" he meowed to her.

A deep sight escaped to her mouth, without realizing it first she was started to have odd feelings toward the black tom, but after seeing him with Splashfeather, made her feel guilty about her growing feelings.

BlazeFrost was laying still in his nest, he has finally become a warrior but he felt like something was missing and that something was his mother besides him. No matter how he tried to emotionally separate himself from her, FrostPetal's death had hit him hard and it didn't help he had another scare with his mentor, RussetSwirl, who caught the same sickness that stole FrostPetal.
His cold eyes gazed at the den's wall, he felt no motivation to get up and do his warrior duties as he's started to feel it was useless for him to do so. why was starclan so cruel? They weren't happy enough with just my father so they wanted FrostPetal as Well? What did I do to deserve this? He thought bitterly.

WrenKit had just barely heard her mothers voice and glanced back "no promises" she spoke quietly in hopes her mother wouldn't hear and a mischievous smirk. She didn't acknowledge the presence of DayDream unlike her siblings, she refused to see DayDream as a father figure as she believed she didn't need a father. Instead, she only saw him as a medicine cat and viewed his job as the reason he was so close to her mother and siblings.

Blizzardclaw had already been awake and had even gone hunting by himself though he didn't stay too far away from camp as it had been his routine since his former apprentice had now been a warrior for a moon. Only after hunting two mice that he found together he had came back to the camp as he knew today they would be announcing the three new apprentices; Poppykit, Dustkit and Fawnkit. He was hopeful that his son would get at least one of them and have his first apprentice while he was fine not having one since he could focus more on his duties as deputy though part of him did also miss training with his former apprentice Bearsong.
Upon returning the tom had placed both of the mice in the pile, glancing around camp to see who was awake. He still needed to assign an actual patrol for both hunting and to check their borders. That was when he spotted Beestar in the perched on her branch and headed over to the tree. "Good morning Beestar," he purred as he called up to her.

The brown tabby'd tom was content with their den that they had been staying in for the past two moons though it was strange to not be staying with his mother Beestar anymore. Sometimes he would want to go sneak into her den during the first few nights in the apprentice den though he soon got use to it. It was weird just having the three of them since Bearsong had became an apprentice not too long ago. But today they would have three cats joining them as apprentices and he was more excited in particular that Dustkit was joining them.
Today as almost usual, he had woken up before his brother and decided to pounce onto him. "Stormpaw! Stormpaw!" He exclaimed as Artemis was already outside of the den he knew he could be loud.

The last few moons had been rough on him as he had fallen ill while trying to help Daydream despite his best efforts to not allow him to help. He felt awful for his apprentice at that time that had dealt with not only the loss of his mother but now the possibility of his mentor. It was only after Frostpetal had passed he finally had gotten sick but was the last one in the clan that had managed to catch the illness though he was the only one that had made it despite his age. But because of that he had confessed his feelings to Acornspots and soon became mates after the two had been circling each other about it for a few moons. Finally once he was better and healed, his mate and himself decided they wanted their family which it was larger than he had imagined though he was proud of each one of them. Every free moment he had though he had been with his mate during her pregnancy as well as since their kits had been born.
This morning was no different, he was up early and had darted to the nursery were he had seen Daydream doing the same thing. Part of him wondered why the other tom had began helping Foxcloud raise her kits as he noticed how close the two had gotten over the past few moons. He was wondering if perhaps they were his though he didn't expect his former apprentice to had done such a thing but he couldn't blame him for wanting a family. On his way to the nursery he spotted one of his kits, Applekit, by herself outside and already knew it was because it was crowded with the three queens and all of their kits inside. "Applekit." He purred to her as he nuzzled her gently before he began grooming her contently. "Is your mother awake already?" He asked when Pinekit had came out and he tilted his head at his son before he laughed quietly to himself as he remembered doing that to his sister when they were this age. "It's okay Applekit is fine this time Pinekit. Though he is right so you should be telling her where you are going," He told firmly to his daughter.

With her former crush on Swiftbadger falling flat as the queen quickly learned he wasn't interested in her as such, she had grown apart from him. In time though she hoped their friendship would recover but for now she did need space for her to get over it and though she overall had in that time she managed to begin her own feelings for another. Deertail and her were closer than ever in the past moons, them both grieving over their own losses as he found out Foxcloud had betrayed him. She was surprised when he told her but also unfortunately happy though at the same time upset that her friend was hurting even though it had been moons.

"Thank you Daydream. That was very sweet of you," Foxcloud purred to her friend and rested nuzzles him once more. "You better all say thank you to him for bringing you all a morning meal," she told her kits that were awake and nuzzled Bramblekit. Though the kit hadn't been hers by blood she treated him as if he was her own and not at all differently, nearly often forgetting he wasn't since he did look a lot like Eveningkit. "Good morning Bramblekit," she purred to him and licked his head gently. "You all better start grooming yourselves you all have a big day today and I want you all to look great when Southstar gives you your apprentice names and mentors."
The past moons between herself and Southstar had been tense, she took in the kit he found but had some doubt that he didn't simply find him since that was how he had found Nightwish when she was a kit. And even a few moons ago with Stagleap suddenly becoming a queen when it hadn't appeared she had a mate though Messfur and her were often around each other so it was possible. And the kits seemed to possibly look like him overall. She had doubts.
"Did you want to share a mouse Daydream? Or do you need to check on the other kits?" She offered him and nuzzled his neck as she pushed the thoughts of Southstar out of her head.

Robinwind woke with a yawn, taking a moment to groom his long fur. It was a fairly useless effort, his fur was constantly getting tangled and picking up spare bits of herbs, but he felt that he needed to try to look somewhat presentable anyway. He noticed that Ivypaw seemed to have already left the den, and as he left the medicine cat den, he noticed her out in camp, grooming herself. He felt a bit guilty as he looked to her, and also as he noticed Beestar out as well, remembering that today Poppykit, Dustkit, and Fawnkit would be becoming apprentices. Ivypaw had helped with Creamflower's kitting, yet he hadn't yet given her her full medicine cat name. It wouldn't be for much longer though-- he hoped to present her as a full medicine cat to StarClan that night at the Moonpool.

She was past the age when most apprentices were made into warriors, after all. "I'm just glad it's turning out to be such a nice day though. It's a good day for a ceremony. "It is!" Poppykit shrieked at Fawnkit's remark, and he tumbled out of the nest with excitement. He could not believe that today was finally the day. He had been having trouble sleeping the past few nights just thinking about how he couldn't wait to be an apprentice. But when Creamflower scolded Fawnkit for being loud he shut his mouth and just settled on flicking his fluffy tail about excitedly. "When do we get to have our ceremony? Is it soon? Is it now? I can't wait to share a den with Stormpaw and Falconpaw again!" He said, all in an failed attempt at a hushed whisper. Then he nudged Fawnkit. "Who do you hope is going to be your mentor?"

"Hi Russetswirl!" Applekit purred, bouncing up and rubbing against her father happily. "No, she's still sleeping!" She replied to his question. When Pinekit came out, she turned at him, fur puffing up in annoyance. "Did you tell Acornspots before you left to tattle on me?" Applekit huffed at Pinekit. She folded her ears back at Russetswirl's scolding, then whined, "It's so crowded in there! And I wasn't going far. Why can't I just go around camp?"

Smokekit blinked his eyes open quickly when he heard conversations staring up in the nursery. He turned away from Stagleap's belly to squint at the noisemakers, rolling over when he saw it was Bramblekit, Brightkit, Redkit, and Daydream. The small grey tabby tom yawned and scooted back towards his littermates and mother's belly, liking that it was warm there. Messfur was here now too, and he liked the tom. "It's fun and warm in here though!" He said. He liked to see the older kits play and sometimes liked to tumble around with them to play moss ball.

Bearsong nodded as the memory of the sweet flower came back to her. "You're right! That's it!" She purred. She waved her tail happily behind her as she answered Ivypaws question, "I love it! It's great not having to report back to someone all the time- though I do miss hanging out with Blizzardclaw. He treats me more as an equal one though which is a perk!" She meowed glancing over at her former mentor under the tree. "Has Robinwind told you when you would get your full name?"

Bramblekit purred at the thought of being an apprentice. He felt anxiety swelling up within him though. He knew some cats thought his appearance to the clan was strange. He would still have to work twice as hard as his adoptive siblings to be accepted as easily. He swallowed hard but quickly put on a happy face as Redkit curled into his side. "Yes please!" He mowed before taking a huge bite of mouse. "Dont worry I'll get behind your ears for you." He offered to his brother through a mouthful of food.

Pinekit's already fluffy kit fur fluffed more as Applekit accused him of leaving without permission. "W- well I had to because you might have gotten eaten!" He huffed. As Russetswirl assured him it was okay he defluffed. He knew he better drop it or hed be getting in trouble too.

Lilackit purred as Messfur came into view. "Hi!" She meowed. Like Mudkit she didnt know any different and thought Messfur was their father. "I know but being patient is hard!" Lilackit gently poked at Smokekits side, "you would be happy anywhere you can sleep!" She teased.

Weaselstripe had been laying there awake for a little while though he had been lost in his thoughts as he was wondering about the kits and who their mentors were going to be. He would love if one of them went to his mate as well as himself, they were no longer young warriors and now experienced and ready for their first apprentices. When he felt Dappleleaf roll over into him, he purred and nuzzled her head gently as she laid onto him. "Good morning."

The brown tabby'd tom was content with their den that they had been staying in for the past two moons though it was strange to not be staying with his mother Beestar anymore. Sometimes he would want to go sneak into her den during the first few nights in the apprentice den though he soon got use to it. It was weird just having the three of them since Bearsong had became an apprentice not too long ago. But today they would have three cats joining them as apprentices and he was more excited in particular that Dustkit was joining them.
Today as almost usual, he had woken up before his brother and decided to pounce onto him. "Stormpaw! Stormpaw!" He exclaimed as Artemis was already outside of the den he knew he could be loud.

Russetswirl purred down at Applekit as she had greeted him before the two had been interrupted by Pinekit. He sighed at the two and shakes his head a bit while the two seemed to argue which seemed like nothing unusual. "I understand that it is crowded in there Applekit but you shouldn't be out unless your mother or I are with you or another older cat. It is safe in the camp for the most part but we like being able to see you instead of sneaking out," the tom explained to his daughter. "That goes for both of you. And Pinekit you should of woken up Acornspots instead of coming after her. It's not your place to discipline her. When you're both a few moons older maybe you can leave the nursery without supervision but for now you both are not old enough for that."

With her former crush on Swiftbadger falling flat as the queen quickly learned he wasn't interested in her as such, she had grown apart from him. In time though she hoped their friendship would recover but for now she did need space for her to get over it and though she overall had in that time she managed to begin her own feelings for another. Deertail and her were closer than ever in the past moons, them both grieving over their own losses as he found out Foxcloud had betrayed him. She was surprised when he told her but also unfortunately happy though at the same time upset that her friend was hurting even though it had been moons.
The queen had glanced at her friend that was still asleep and sighed, nudging him once. "Deertail you have to wake up, Southstar is going to be probably announcing mentors for the kits soon."

"Thank you Daydream. That was very sweet of you," Foxcloud purred to her friend and rested nuzzles him once more. "You better all say thank you to him for bringing you all a morning meal," she told her kits that were awake and nuzzled Bramblekit. Though the kit hadn't been hers by blood she treated him as if he was her own and not at all differently, nearly often forgetting he wasn't since he did look a lot like Eveningkit. "Good morning Bramblekit," she purred to him and licked his head gently. "You all better start grooming yourselves you all have a big day today and I want you all to look great when Southstar gives you your apprentice names and mentors."
The past moons between herself and Southstar had been tense, she took in the kit he found but had some doubt that he didn't simply find him since that was how he had found Nightwish when she was a kit. And even a few moons ago with Stagleap suddenly becoming a queen when it hadn't appeared she had a mate though Messfur and her were often around each other so it was possible. And the kits seemed to possibly look like him overall. She had doubts.
"Did you want to share a mouse Daydream? Or do you need to check on the other kits?" She offered him and nuzzled his neck as she pushed the thoughts of Southstar out of her head.

Stagleap purred at Lilackit as she had curled against her more, licking the top of her head once. "I"m sure you would love that but you're not old enough yet to do that. You'll get to join them soon enough though but not too soon," she told the kit before she purred as she had seen Messfur. Her purrs grew louder and nuzzled his side as the tom had gotten to her as well as the kits, licking his ear once before looking over at Silverkit as he spoke up. "Well he could come over and check on you all but everyone in the nursery seems very healthy so I don't think he has anything to worry about," she told her tom-kit happily before she shakes her head. "You can't go too far but you may at least play right outside since it is going to be warm out."

Redkit huffed at Wrenkit, shaking his head at her as he didn't quite understand why she was so displeased with Daydream and never treated him like a father unlike the rest of their litter. He asked before groaning as their mother mentioned grooming themselves for the apprentice ceremony.
