He smiled then blinked, "Wolfpaw, I forget who is your mentor?" He asked, hoping slightly that she was mentorless. (Not a word I know XD) He hadn't had an apprentice yet...well he had but he lost his young apprentice in the fire.

Fluffy looked at all the cats around him, fear on his face. "So what is a clan exactly, is it like a group of cats?"

[Can anyone tell me what happened last that goes with Duskpaw? Currently, I heard Eaglestar is coming with him, but how come Wolfpaw and Viperpaw returned first? I am kind of confused.]

((lol Wolfpaw and Tigerclaw had gone ahead first and Duskpaw, Viperpaw and Eaglestar were behind.))

If there was one thing Viperpaw had ever been glad for it was great timing, and Eaglestar seemed to have that down to a T. Gritting her teeth, Viperpaw padded a little slower after the others as blood dripped down her shoulder. It wasn't as bad as Duskpaw's wounds, none of her wounds would ever be as bad as them, she knew, but it still hurt. The tortoiseshell she-cat however looked rather pleased though. And in her mind she had every right to be. Sure she may not be able to go on the patrol now, but hey, at least she was able to hold off that piece of badgerdung that had left her friend in pain for moons. That counted for something right? To her it did, but as she watched Duskpaw walk she began to grow worried. He'd taken the brunt of the hits and was walking rather slowly himself. Viperpaw was afraid to actually touch him now when he seemed so concentrated on moving, and she didn't want to disrupt him when he was already so tired. Still she padded beside him and noticed his new battle scars with a grim gaze. She knew Duskpaw was tough, after all everycat in her clan was tough they'd all had to be to make it this far. Still though, he was still just an apprentice, just like she and Wolfpaw. He'd just had it rougher than most. Unable to stop herself, or rather not trying as hard when she'd come to that resolution, Viperpaw let her tail flick against his and sent a thought his way. 'You did good Duskpaw, but the battles not over just yet...I know he'll be back, just like you do, so what'll do now?' The question itself was legit afterall Viperpaw was no dummy, she'd seen cats go after eachother in games of mindless revenge, and with Grinner being as crazy as he was, she knew he'd come back. But unknown to Duskpaw, Viperpaw wasn't going to let him even get that far. When the time for fighting would come, Viperpaw would stand right beside Duskpaw. Though at the moment she was wondering where these strange thoughts were coming from, Viperpaw merely accepted it. After all she'd accepted everything else about Duskpaw, might as well accept this too.

"Uh.. I don't have a mentor. Frostfeather wasn't ever found, and that was before the fire..." Wolfpaw trailed off to think of her old mentor. Reality, she was the only one alive who knew what happened. Her siblings knew, too, but they were dead.

Tigerclaw blinked sadly and nosed her, "I lost my first apprentice, Firepaw in the fire. How about I hold up to my promise of getting you better and stronger with that leg by asking Eaglestar if I can mentor you?" He suggested.

Wolfpaw sniffed.
"I don't know. I'm just worthless. I don't deserve a mentor." Wolfpaw said, hiding her head in Duskblaze's side.

Falconpaw

Falconpaw watched Spiderpaw leave, frowning deeply. Of course useless Wolfpaw would go and get herself hurt. She smirked, glaring at the hurt apprentice. I bet she wished I was with her. She flexed her claws, but didn't make a move to go over there. Too many Flameclan and Rainclan and...loners? It was their turn to get hatefully stared by Falconpaw, what would loners want with this stupid clan? Upon closer inspection, she concluded those chubby things were kittypets. She scoffed, they were probably lost. Maybe later she'll go mess with them, but for now she was fine sitting here. Well, actually she wasn't. She wanted Spiderpaw to hurry up and finish messing around with Wolfpaw's wound so he can take her out to do a boring task. Herb gathering wasn't all that fun, but neither was sitting around and being surrounded by Flameclan and Rainclan.

He frowned and nosed her side gently, "Don't say that, everyon in the clan is worth something. You're strong and cunning. The clan needs you no matter what." He reassured.

DuskBlaze sighed softly. She too had lost alot during the fire. Her mate, EbonyGrowl had been killed by the smoke and hadn't been able to go on. The queen blinked her eyes rapidly in time to catch Tigerclaw's words. Smiling at the warrior, DuskBlaze smiled down at Wolfpaw before giving the long furred she-cat's ear another lick. Hearing Fluffy's words, the queen looked up and nodded. "Yes that is what a clan is. A large group of cats." she mewed bluntly. Hearing Wolfpaw's words however, DuskBlaze shook her head. "You're not worthless, Wolfpaw! A cat like you could never be worthless."
