Rako looked up at the cliff, his eyes wide in shock. There was a pup up there. He dashed up, moving too fast to slip down the cliff. He tackled the pup, pushing it back, just as the edge crumbled away. He breathed a sigh of relief and looked back down, now that you mention it, it's quite high up...

Ink weakly stood up and carried on walking through the long grass, not even knowing where he was going. He was struggling to keep on standing, but somehow he carried on despite this...The pup was still only young and now probably also orphaned, since Lavender and the rest of the pups still weren't anywhere to be found.

Yara looked at his paws, angry at himself for having to ask Chako this, but it had to be done. "Chako... The leader and I are going to fight, we have set the terms but need someone to tell us when to quit... I'm not asking you to do it, unless you would like to, because I just wouldn't be able to live with myself having made you watch me fight, but... Can you get someone for me, anyone, just someone to stop us from killing eachother." He looked up, nuzzling her gently.

"I'll do it. But not for him," she said, gesturing roughly to the leader, "I'm only doing it for you Yara."

The Leader frowned. "She's your mate, isn't she? She'll find it in favor of you."

Willow shrugged. "I'm not sure."

Karrie sighed and curled up against the pups.

Barti watched Karrie and felt a stab of jealousy. Why wasn't he allowed to fight? Why didn't anyone pay attention to him?

Aceso tumbled backwards and landed on her belly legs spread out. Aceso scrambled back to Karrie and snuggled closer. The three pups let out a content sigh and drifted to sleep.

"I'm going to make sure neither of you die. Unless you want to die leader. I won't hesitate to fufill that wish. For Ink's sake," Chako spat angrily. He had no right after nearly killing a helpless pup!

The Leader looked confused. "You mean that little black pup? I didn't kill him. I'm no murderer. I'm trying to show all of you thick-skulls a better way of life!"

Ink soon came to the Dawnplace after a while and was standing on the dip that separated it from the forest. He looked up at the mountain with a sigh then jumped over the dip, taking his first step in to the Dawnplace. It didn't look too bad. There was a river, a waterfall, plenty of shelter in caves up in the mountains...He could stay here easily. He smiled and started to limp towards the river, remembering that he needed to drink. When he got there, he stood on the bank and bent down to lap up the cold water, which made him feel much better. Once he had had a drink, the pup found a tree and curled up underneath it, while looking up at the mountains.

Ziva was patrolling the Dawnplace when she scented something. "Intruder!" she hissed to herself. She followed her nose until she saw Ink, by himself. "Hey!" she called.

Ink didn't move. He couldn't hear her. ((X3))
