Raccoonstrike sprang instantly after her. Panic whirled through his mind. Had the fire reached camp? Had anyone been hurt by it? He panted after Desertbloom, the chill of his pelt quickly forgotten in the new fear of flames. He barely noticed the rain now, even though it pattered hard on his fur. He then remembered the high, rushing river, and flattened his ears. Surely they couldn't have a fire and a flood? Raccoonstrike's eyes were wide in despair. StarClan help us!

Song stayed where she was, quietly flicking her tail. She made no move, though her eyes softened just the slightest. Her ears were still pinned, she stood quietly, and dis-trustingly, made no move to stop him if he came nearer.

Silverpaw padded into camp, with two mice in her jaws. She had just returned from hunting and was quite pleased with herself for her catches. She began to walk towards the elders' den, until a cry pierced the air - it came from some of her Clanmates, yowling about fire. A fire? Where? Oh StarClan, please don't let any cat get hurt!

The silver tabby stood in the clearing, and meowed loudly, "can some cat tell me what's going on? Where's the fire?" She felt her fur starting to stand on end, in fear. "And is there anything I can do to help?"

Duckpond looked at Sprucepaw gently, taking over the procedure. "You have done very well so far, young one." Duckpond gave the young apprentice much needed praise, meaning every word he mewed. He was very lucky to be blessed with such a reliable feline! "There's no need to panic alright? Everything will be just fine... Just fine..." Duckpond attempted to soothe both Sprucepaw and Foxpaw. He took out some Comfrey and some Rush, inspected the shattered bone, and instantly knew that just a bit of Comfrey and some Rush wouldn't be enough. It would help, sure, but he needed to do... some other things. "Well, let's just get started then..." Duckpond sighs and raises his head. He knew what he needed to do- but was he confident enough to carry through with it?

One look at Foxpaw, suffering from his injury, and Duckpond knew he didn't have much of a choice. "Now, this could hurt." Duckpond said gently to Foxpaw; and proceeded to do what he needed in order to mend his shattered bones and stop any internal bleedings.

The calico's fur bristled when she heard that a fire had started. "Mousedung!" She exclaimed, clearly not happy. Where was Spiderstar? She needed to talk to him, now.
Rushing towards his den, and paused at the entrance. "Spiderstar? This is urgent!" It was more than urgent.

Ember padded forward. He didn't trust other cats but he was nicer to she-cats. "sorry for scaring you" he mewed softly.

Sprucepaw nodded, despite her terror she felt a small twinge of pride at her mentor's words. She shuffled back, to watch diligently as Duckpond returned with the rush and comfrey and set to work. She curled her twitching tail around her paws and kept next to Foxpaw, waiting. She placed a paw and stroked the young tom, trying to calm him and distract him from his pain.

Moonshade looked up, her tears glittering against her eyes. She stared at Foxchaser, unable to understand how calm he sounded. His response was completely different from how Sunclaw reacted and the dark tabby just sat there. Then, she broke into a smile, though still crying a little, and covered his face was licks and nuzzles. "Thank you for understanding, Foxchaser. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you," she mumbled. Now she felt like she never wanted to let go of the young tom who'd once called her 'mother'. She pulled away for a second, but only faced him a whisker's length away and said in a low tone, "Don't you ever forget how much I love you and Sunclaw. I promised Morningdove to do everything for you and I'm still keep that promise."
Moonshade then slumped to the ground once more, exhaustion filling her injured body.
Then, all of a sudden, she only wanted to hold the both of them close to her. All day she'd been haunted by her old Stoneclan memories; now she just wanted to feel the warmth of her most cherished cats.
"Sunclaw!" she called softly, now laying down trying to catch her breath but pulled Foxchaser close to her, "Sunclaw, come in, darling. Please.."

Foxchaser was about to say something when a commotion started outside and he rushed out to look, shoving off Moonshade. Despite what he'd said to his foster mother, he was the smallest bit revolted by her touchy-feely attitude. Sure, Foxchaser was fine with her having lied for their own good- and yet she acted as if nothing had happened at all, as if he and Sunclaw were still kits tucked against he stomach. "There's a fire?" He asked nobody in particular, unable to keep the panic out of his voice. Moonshade, effectively handicapped for now, would not be able to escape camp if the fire came too close. He whirled around to face the entrance, fur fluffed up in fear, as Sunclaw shot past him, into the forest.

Sunclaw watched as Silverpaw padded into camp, peacefully mindless, until the silver apprentice asked about a fire. All at once Sunclaw was jolted into reality. A fire? Her heart began to pound. Foxchaser bounded out of the medicine den, and Sunclaw took a step toward him before stopping. What was she doing? As if Foxchaser would somehow have the answers. But he had to- he'd always been the more grounded of the two, always in control. If Foxchaser was unsure, than Sunclaw had every right to be afraid, for her life and others'. She turned to the entrance, and, gripped by a sudden impulse, rushed out. The forest seemed eerily silent. But the fire was coming, she was sure of it.

The dark, injured tabby stumbled back painfully. She had used up so much effort just to reach out to him. And he just pushes her away like that! The hackles on her back rose when she heard Foxchaser ask in the camp about the fire. Moonshade blinked, her worn-out eyes clouding with sadness and confusion. She tried to act calm and what did she get? She huffed, not caring anymore if the two of them paid her any notice at all for now on. It wasn't my fault. They can't blame me for all this! I did all this in an act of love for a friend and for two kits who couldn't care for themselves. If they can't see it, then fine. But even if it wasn't that, I still did it to save an uproar between two clans. No one would ever understand her.
She lowered herself slowly into her nest, irritated by how useless she felt. And if the fire really did reach camp, she didn't care about how she'd get out now. She only hoped her clanmates, no matter how many didn't acknowledge her, would get out safely and leave her to die in the flames. What use was she now? She probably wouldn't be able to escape either. Moonshade had suffered enough in this life. Two homes ripped away from her. Family murdered. Betrayed, and beaten. Now? She was losing her 'family' again.
She sighed raggedly and her beautiful face darkened in anger and defiance. As long as Sunclaw, Foxchaser and Deathrage are 100% ok, then I'll die happy.
All of a sudden, her emotions went on overdrive and she just started whimpering as she curled up; feeling cold. "Deathrage?" she called to him from the shadows. She started to tremble and just wanted to slip away from everything.
