Felix listened to the voices dim. "M-Maybe we shouldn't. It's daylight.." He knew he didn't have the guts to fly outside in the light.

Zoe screamed as the owl began clawing at the log. He peered inside and chuckled "Your hardly even a snack!" As he reached inside and tried picking her up but she ducked at the last minute and flew out.

Shade

Hearing the shreiks of all the other little bats then seeing the shadow of an owl fly over head I knew I had to stop this.I could kill an owl, he was one foot I was 8. Quickly, I unfurled my teathered wings and darted out into the sky, zooming after the owl. The owls had seen the Vampyrum Spectrum before, the owl killing bats. They were only 3 feet themselves. I wonder what this owl would think of me? I gave a loud screech as I swooped in, going for the kill. I gently pushed Zoe and the other bats trying to help, back with my wings, not wanting anyone hurt....but this owl. I now lfew over the owl, him looking up every now and then, frantically and scared. He tried to fly faster but my wings were larger and took me farther. In one quick motion, I flew in front of him, charged and grabbed his neck in my bloody talons, taking him all the way back to the ground, slamming him into the earth. His beak now dripped with blood and his eyes were weary, but he still attempted to fight, flapping as hard as he could to get away. I gripped harder and harder until those flaps began getting slower and slower, until they stopped and the green eye's did not stare upon me any more. I slowly released and flew upwards, roosting in a branch I scoped the area for a better resting place. The Dawn Chorus was beggining to start up and I was tired, I only wanted sleep to steal me away now. I only glared at the little bats, not wanting to do any more than a glare. I then took flight, heading north towards a large Sugar Maple, leaving the little bats behind.

Zoe looked at the huge bat and thought 'I'm not even bigger than half his wing!!!' She flew after him ((cause anybody goes after somebody who gives them a death glare! XD)) and followed him and thought 'Not like I got anywhere to go...' Just having her whole colony taken by the owls as their slaves and eatin.

Ash nodded. She rustled her wings. Her lavender-colored eyes blinked nervously.

Felix followed reluctantly, the sun hot on his wings. He hated the warmth, the light, the smells. It was terrible.
