The apprentice followed after his mentor and placed the mouse in the pile, he kept the squirrel in his mouth to give to the elders if they wanted it "S-sure do you think they'd like the squirrel?" He questioned, he wasn't sure if he should bring the squirrel or leave it and come back if the elders said they haven't eaten yet but that would mean he'd have to take another trip to the fresh kill pile. He was thrown back into reality when he heard PuddleSpring mention going battle training and he fought off a small frown that attempted to make its way to his face. He knew he would still have to do some battle training but he always was wishing it'd just disappear. He wondered if when he becomes confident enough, he wouldn't be so afraid of battling.

R e d f e a t h e r slid back out of the pines, a small bird dangling from the jaws. He returned to the prey he'd already caught, setting it down. The tom decided to take a rest while he waited for the rest of the patrol to return. He settled down, his eyes going towards the Twolegplace. The dog was still tied up, though it had spotted him, and was barking like mad. His ears flattened as he slunk back into the underbrush, just before a Twoleg emerged. It said something to the dog in a harsh tone before going back inside of its den. The dog went quiet, looking crestfallen, and the tom's whiskers twitched with amusement. Serves it right, barking like that!

S t o r m e y e moved up beside Leafwillow. "You don't look like you were too keen on the idea of patrolling," the thin tabby said, glancing curiously at him. "Something wrong?" He didn't know the tom well - or any other cat in the Clan, but he wanted to. He wanted to become close to all of the warriors of his new home, he wanted to build a life here.
When the patrol split up, Stormeye couldn't help but linger near the Twolegplace. He padded along, closer to where the scorched earth marked the ground. He couldn't scent any nearby cats. Deciding not to wait to see if Creekpaw would, by chance, be on a border patrol, the tom headed back into the pines. He padded along the forest floor. He preferred hunting nearer to the peak, enjoying the open wind on his pelt and the clear view of the sky and soaring birds of prey, but he wanted to please his new Clan more than anything. Even here, he was already much higher up on the mountain that he would have been on PineClan's territory. More birds roamed here - and to his delight, he spotted one. A large, fat crow was flapping to and fro on the ground, and he dropped into a crouch. Creeping forward as stealthily as possible, he saw his chance. The wind was in his favor and the bird was distracted, pecking at some bug or seed on the ground. Stormeye leaped, his claws connecting to feathers and pinning the crow to the ground. He killed it and gazed at his prey with pride - the crow was big and fat, it was a worthy catch. He purred in delight as he scraped earth over it.

When Flynn demanded to be taken to his kit, he narrowed his eyes, meeting his gaze. "We're taking you to a camp full of warriors, trained and much stronger than you. I don't care what kind of skill you think you have. Frankly, it doesn't matter even if you have it. Step one paw out of line, and you will not make it out of our territory alive. I don't care how good you are, you couldn't face such a big group of cats. If you want to leave with your kit, I suggest you shut your mouse-brained trap before you get yourself into trouble." He turned around, facing Hawkeye. "Ready to go?" His eyes were still narrowed - clearly, he'd love to rip the lawless, immature loner's pelt off, but he'd contain himself under Petalstar's orders. Still, the moment he caused trouble, he planned to claw the mouse-brain's ears off. "Oh, and another thing," Rabbitfur glanced back at the tom, "our laws are the only reason you and your kit are alive right now. Without them, we'd have killed both of you for trespassing - but it's our Code to protect kits." The tom turned back to Hawkeye, clearly pleased with himself.

The only cat in the Clan who could match his tongue step by step, Darkflower had always been a bit of a challenge for him to silence with a sharp word or to return slander to. Still, she'd always been the most likely to agree with his blunt, tactless comments, as she recognized that they were correct, despite his rude way of saying it. Casually cool in the name of being honest, like him, she'd earned his respect, but was still just as much at the mercy of his tongue as any other cat in the Clan. Finally, the tom broke eye contact and turned away, moving to stand nearly right beside Swiftstep, looking as if he wanted to interact with the loner as well - if only to call him a crow-hearted kittypet and send him off with some scratches on his pelt.

H e r squirrel and a small vole in her jaws, Featherpaw trotted back the way she'd come. While she was tall and lanky, the queen didn't have the space in her jaws to carry much more. She headed back to the pond, noticing that the rest of the patrol was still hunting. Feathercloud and Bristlebush were around the pool, so she was careful not to disturb them as she buried her prey. Hoping that the warriors would be able to lend a paw in getting everything back to camp, she headed back into the pines, ready to hunt.

She buried the squirrel under some leaves to hide, so she could go to find something else to catch, likely something small as the squirrel was a big one and she didn't have that big mouth to carry too much to the camp. She flattered her ears lightly when the barking echoes to the wind but trusted Redfeathers words that the dog was no danger to them anymore. She ignored the barkings for now and followed a fresh scent of pikas there, that little rodent could be a good catch too.

He didn't say anything any longer just focused the scent around them, the forest smelled to their clanmates, nothing special except the young stranger cat who was taken to the camp. He ignored that smell as he knew where the loner was and the other was near the borders battling with his clanmates, he kind of ignored it as well for now.

He walked to the brook, watching the river bank there for any small animals there drinking the water when he noticed a chipmunk there eating something to the ground. Licking his lips he stalked the small rodent, getting closer hiding himself to the bushes, preparing to attack the chipmunk when something unexcepted happened. An adder swooped between two rocks and bit the chipmunk with it poison fangs 'oh okay....' he thought walking backward 'Could I tell that to Sparrowcall?' he keeps thinking.

He carefully followed the somewhat fresh scent of a rabbit, stopping to rock when the smell was very fresh 'eww..rabbit poop' he thought noticing the pile of brown balls there, ignoring them and followed the trail, when heard some movements. He got down, peeking behind the rock, seeing the rabbit there only a few foxtails away from him, but in a somewhat open area, there were not many hiding places to get close enough so it could not see him. The only way for him was to wait for it to get closer or start to chase it and trust his speed to be enough to catch it.

But patrols were needed, and Petalstar had told them to go about it this way.

Maybe she should ask a more experienced warrior for advice.

Yewbriar smiled at Lostface as she headed off, and then turned back to Blossomcloud. "I do," he said as well. "I miss being out on the mountain, the wind through my fur. Rainpaw's ears perked up at the sound of something through the grass. She opened her mouth to scent, and it was a bird! Hopefully a fairly small one, though. A full sized crow was nearly as big as her. She crouched down, stalking forward until she saw it. A robin, perfect! She wouldn't make the same mistake as earlier, and she made sure to get closer before pouncing. As she leapt, she felt the creature under her paws and she swiftly killed it before it could get away. She had done it! "Yes!" She exclaimed, then shut her mouth quickly. How embarassing, shouting like an excited kit. But she was happy with this catch for sure.

Hawkeye simply gave Rabbitfur a nod, not wanting to engage the rogue at all. She didn't particularly agree with the sentiment of killing them both on sight, especially a kit--but she knew it was mostly just an intimidation tactic, and so she didn't argue with it. She heard her brother start up again and inwardly sighed, but said nothing. He never seemed to learn his lesson, and neither did this rogue for that matter. She would only break them up if things got violent again.

Crowthorn bit back a hiss of pain when the rogue bit his tail, but said no more as Rabbitfur gave a speech of his own. He padded along silently as the patrol started towards camp, but the silence was soon broken once again as he turned to look at Flynn behind him. "I feel sorry for you and your kit. Really, I do." Despite his words, his tone was anything but sympathetic. "Clearly neither of you have had a good upbringing. You can't even come up with a logical argument--because you know I'm right--only kit-like insults and name-calling. Pathetic, really. And you're...how many moons old exactly?"

Sunpaw halted at her mentor's voice and sniffed the air, looking in the same direction Sparrowcall did in case whatever was there was visible. Finally she got a whiff of the scent. "It smells like...a bird?" But she wasn't sure what kind.

Gingerleaf's eyes clouded at her leader's question. "He's..." She half-hesitated and was half-cut-off when she noticed the kit beginning to wander away. Is she trying to be sneaky? she wondered. She and Petalstar were right there, so they could clearly see if the kit remained there or not. "Little one, it isn't safe to go out there alone," she meowed, quickly trotting over to the kit and grabbing her by the scruff before bringing her back to Petalstar. Her maternal instincts hadn't completely vanished. "Don't worry," she mumbled around Jinx's fur in her mouth. "Someone is coming for you."

Timberfoot made sure to stay several fox-lengths behind Leopardpaw the whole time, so as not to distract his apprentice or alert the prey he might be stalking. Besides, Leopardpaw was almost a warrior, and while this wasn't his official assessment, it was still a good opportunity for the young tom to prove himself. He watched from afar to see what his apprentice would do, silently rooting for him.

The young she-cat smiled as she listened to Darkflower and Southwind defend her to Jaywing but she was sure her mentor would take Jaywing's side. She wanted to thank them but she didn't even want to speak anymore as she could easily just keep getting in trouble. However she would thank them later after they would be done dealing with the loner. Though it seemed like Jaywing wouldn't just end it, he always seemed quite harsh even to his fellow warriors. She was a bit taken back to hearing him snap back at Darkflower just because she had defended her. Which honestly made her feel more guilty and made her look at Southwind then her own paws.

She stalked under some bushes where she has smelled some pikas, getting down she stalked around her for a moment when saw the two small rodents there. She didn't wait for too long when pounced toward the pikas, quickly killing one of them as she was quick enough to catch both of them. Taking the pika she carried it to the same place she has buried the squirrel, looking after her clanmates who come patrol with her.

He didn't say anything any longer just focused the scent around them, the forest smelled to their clanmates, nothing special except the young stranger cat who was taken to the camp. He ignored that smell as he knew where the loner was and the other was near the borders battling with his clanmates, he kind of ignored it as well for now.

He stalked the rabbit for a while, thinking the best way to catch it as there were plenty of lands to the rabbit to run at and rabbits were fast ones. He watched the lands when saw some rocks there, maybe he could try to chase the rabbit toward them, where it could need to circle them. He got out of his hiding place and run after the rabbit, knowing that he could not catch it without chasing, so he tried to guide the rabbit toward the rocks where he could maybe have a chance to catch it. When the rabbit run near the rocks and started to go around them, he made his move to hit the rabbits legs so it falls down and got to its throat, holding it still even if the rabbit fight back, feeling pain on his side when the rabbit back legs scratched his body but ignored it.

The only cat in the Clan who could match his tongue step by step, Darkflower had always been a bit of a challenge for him to silence with a sharp word or to return slander to. Still, she'd always been the most likely to agree with his blunt, tactless comments, as she recognized that they were correct, despite his rude way of saying it. Casually cool in the name of being honest, like him, she'd earned his respect, but was still just as much at the mercy of his tongue as any other cat in the Clan. Finally, the tom broke eye contact and turned away, moving to stand nearly right beside Swiftstep, looking as if he wanted to interact with the loner as well - if only to call him a crow-hearted kittypet and send him off with some scratches on his pelt.

H e r squirrel and a small vole in her jaws, Featherpaw trotted back the way she'd come. While she was tall and lanky, the queen didn't have the space in her jaws to carry much more. She headed back to the pond, noticing that the rest of the patrol was still hunting. Feathercloud and Bristlebush were around the pool, so she was careful not to disturb them as she buried her prey. Hoping that the warriors would be able to lend a paw in getting everything back to camp, she headed back into the pines, ready to hunt.
