WindPack
Medicine Dog
With Ravenflight
Meat. Ravenflight? Dunlinfur shook his head, clearing the last of his bewilderment away as he realized he was no longer alone with his thoughts. Now, he needed to pull himself together and act professionally. The medicine dog had missed the first bit of whatever Ravenflight had said, but the question about his health was one he could answer.
"No, no, sorry." Dunlinfur dismissed the concerns quickly and apologized for acting in such a distracted manner. "Just a... a bad dream is all, but I needed t'get up anyway. Did you sleep a'ight?"
He was quick to change the subject, perhaps a little too quick. Dunlinfur was not the best liar in WindPack, but he was reluctant to share any further information until he had a better idea of what he had seen, himself. That seemed to be the responsible thing to do, at least, but his head was still spinning from the realization that StarPack might actually be real after all. He had played along for the sake of his role and fitting into the pack's culture, but the former outpacker had never really believed it, at least not until now.
Again, the scent of tender lamb brought Dunlinfur back to the present. He needed to focus, but it was nearly impossible under such circumstances. For the moment, it was probably best to take things one step at a time. First, he had to see to Ravenflight. That would work just fine as a first step.

Ravenflight sniffed Dunlinfur over for a moment while said medicine dog spoke, and upon not finding anything of concern, sat down a respectable distance away. The Aidi seemed to be in perfectly good health and now, he still looked a bit scattered, but mostly alright. Unlike some dogs, Ravenflight knew to drop the topic when Dunlinfur hurried to change it and although he gave the other male a curious look, he let it go. "It's fine..." He cocked his head slightly, wanting Dunlinfur to know he knew something else was going on before continuing. "And I slept well, thank you for asking." The black and white male glanced at the lamb meat and nudged it toward Dunlinfur, "Also, I noticed that you haven't eaten yet, so I wanted you to get something before I go out." Ravenflight was barely older than Windpack's only medicine dog, but he still felt to need to look after Dunlinfur and his other younger packmates.

Patchpaw
male dog - dalmatian/Saluki mix - crush: open - mentor: Cloudtuft - tags: open
He waked up and walked out of the apprentice's den, not really interested to do anything or speak to anyone. He just sat down and watched the cleaning.
Spottedpaw
female dog - dalmatian/ Saluki mix - crush: open - mentor: Berrybounce - tags: Deerpaw
She was silent for a moment when he asked about her training with Berrypounce, seriously she has not done any training with her for days, she didn't even know where she was "hm...well not really...nothing new to being learned" she said silently, focusing to eat the rabbit.

Medicine Dog
With Ravenflight
As expected, Ravenflight had picked up on the fact that Dunlinfur was hiding something, he fortunately, the tunneler let it go. As Ravenflight nudged the portion of lamb towards him, Dunlinfur wagged his tail appreciatively. He had not realized how hungry he was until the prospect of food was right in front of him. That did make sense, seeing as he had barely eaten the day before. Finally, the Aidi relaxed. His posture loosened and his expression softened. It was as if Ravenflight had known exactly what Dunlinfur needed without having to be told. A hearty breakfast would be the perfect way to steady his nerves. Afterwards, he would get to work handling all of this "vision" business.
"Aw, that's mighty thoughtful." he woofed.
Dunlinfur padded forward and tilted his head, intending to press the top of his skull into Ravenflight's if the other male chose to reciprocate the gesture. If not, the medicine dog had no problem gently headbutting Ravenflight in the chest as a second-best option. Either way, Dunlinfur was not a dog to allow a head-bump to be left hanging.

When he came back, she was responding and talking about how she hadn't learned anything new. "i understand that," Deerpaw murmured empathetically.

Ravenflight allowed a small smile to cross over his muzzle for a moment before returning to his usual stoic expression. Dunlinfur seemed to appreciate him having let the topic go. Well...what else was he supposed to do? Order Dunlinfur to tell him what was really going on? The medicine dog, though younger than Ravenflight by a little, occupied a higher rank in the pack, pushing the subject might be seen as rude. "Heh, I wouldn't let you starve." The tunneler watched skeptically as Dunlinfur approached him. At the offer of a head-bump, Ravenflight stiffened for a moment. It was rare that anyone offered any sort of affection to him, much less of the physical variety. After a moment of thought, he mimicked the younger male's action, slightly unsure of what to do but deciding to give it a shot anyway.

Medicine Dog
With Ravenflight
He felt a skull brush against his own and couldn't a grin as he straightened up and took a step or two back to give Ravenflight his personal space back. Ravenflight seemed hesitant at first, but that only made the physical contact all the more rewarding, like it was earned. Dunlinfur had a well-known reputation for being the affectionate type, of course, but not everyone felt the same.
"Make sure ya don't starve, yerself." Dunlinfur chuckled jokingly. "If you haven't eaten yet, I happen to have a bite."
He shot a pointed look at the meat laying temptingly beside him.
"But, if you're not hungry..."
It was looking tastier by the second. Dunlinfur felt a little awkward about eating in front of someone else while they watched, but he knew mornings were a busy time anyway. Ravenflight would probably be off to do his own things before long. Still, the company was doing him a lot of good and he was not opposed to a little more of it.

Ravenflight pulled back rather quickly, his ears pinned back in embarrassment.
The short head-bump wasn't bad, but it was strange to exchange one after so ling. He swiftly shook off the conflicting emotions and laughed good naturedly. "I got myself a quick something before I stopped by. No need to worry about little 'ol me." The male glanced around the area and started as his gaze landed on some herbs. He recalled a strange smelling root he'd found in the tunnels a few days prior. He'd not thought much of it then, but now, in Dunlinfur's den, the sweet and tangy smells of the herbs around him reminded him of the roots. The tunneler stared intently at the nearby herbs, trying in vain to discern the scents. Maybe, he should let Dunlinfur know that he might've found a new patch of herbs?

Whiteleg
( ♀ ) - ( Saluki Whippet Cross ) - ( Elder ) - ( Windpack ) - ( 156 moons old ) - ( No romance ) - ( Tags: )
Whiteleg woke up to the hustle and bustle of the camp. She couldn't exactly tell what time it was, but she felt agitated nonetheless. She also felt hungry. Still feeling the affects of sleep, she tried to yawn and stretch, but was soon met with pain half-way through her stretch.
Mouse-dung. She cursed silently. "What I wouldn't do to be young again." Whiteleg grumbled, realizing that food wasn't worth the hassle of getting up.

G O R S E F O O T♂ | unknown mongrel | moorrunner of windpack | 34 moons | location: camp | tags: Songbreeze Gorsefoot nodded, understanding where Songbreeze was coming from. The past few moons had been the same for him, with few times where he had felt like doing much of anything. "Why did he even want you to check Skypack's old territory? I doubt there's much left of them but stale scents and empty dens." He didn't much endorse going into another pack's territory, even if they weren't really there at the moment. Besides, Windpack dogs didn't belong under the trees, the open moor was where they belong. The morrrunner took another bite of the rabbit.
