Aridstar watched as the cats gathered below the rock. She could see a few whispers pass from one to another in the crowd, possibly from curiosity of the sudden meeting. "We have a lot to announce today. Warrior ceremonys, arranged mates, and more" she called, hoping to get the apprentices' paws tingling with excitement. "Blackwhisker, Jake, Ashfeather, Hawktalon, and Falconwing, please step forward. I, Aridstar, leader of Reedclan, say these words before StarClan, so that the spirits of our warrior ancestors may hear and approve of my choice. Falconwing's arranged mate is Featherpatch. Featherpatch may be older, but I believe the two of you will get along very well. Ashfeather's arranged mate is Hawktalon. The two different personalities of both of you should balance out quite nicely. Jake's arranged mate is Swanfern. I see you two as a perfect match. Blackwhisker, I have not yet chosen an arranged mate for you. You will most likely be paired up next moon with one of the apprentices who are becoming warriors today. Not a long wait." Aridstar waited for everybody to quiet down. She flicked her tail tip to tell everybody she was continuing with the meeting. "Owlpaw, Shadepaw, Littlepaw, Nightpaw, and Tumblepaw, please step forward.

Jaggedbreeze stood up and padded toward the hunting patrol that was gathering. She didn't have an apprentice so she didn't have to worry about that. I doubt I will ever have one anyways, that unless, I start talking again... She pondered over her thoughts for a heartbeat, giving some thought about it. But quickly told herself, No. Once she reached the rest of the patrol, Jaggedbreeze opened her mouth to already try and pick up the drifting scent of prey. It was hard since Reedclan was on a marsh, it not like you can smell fish from many tail lengths away. All she could pick up was muskrat and alligator, hopefully she would have more luck out on the hunting space. Alligators could always be smelled though, no matter where you are since they are everywhere in the marsh. She glanced over at her arranged mate, Stormfeather. So he is joining the patrol too. Jaggedbreeze turned her head a little to look at her sister, and her leader, who had called a meeting.

Owlpaw trotted up to Aridstar, keeping his head high and his chest puffed out. Once he reached highrock, he jumped onto it without failure. Owlpaw took a stand behind Aridstar, lining up next to the other apprentices. He was first. Owlpaw listened carefully to what Aridstar had to say. "I do" he spoke once the leader was done talking. He was really excited to become a warrior. I will have to make it up to Deerleap, he never got the chance to do our last training. His paws were tingling with excitement and his eyes had a strong look of determination.

Ashfeather let out a sigh of relief. It had felt like a weight had been lifted off her shoulders. "Hawktalon." She murmured with a small smile. She didn't know Hawktalon that well. Frankly, she hadn't really gotten to know anyone to well. Usually she kept to herself, with small friendly conversations amongst her clanmates. She listened to the rest of the ceremony. Out of the corner of her eye, she scanned the crowd for her new mate. "I'll talk to him after." She said under her breath.

Creamflower nods in agreement with Antheart. "Yes it is." she said. "And thats all I can ask for." She takes another bite of the fish, savoring the delicious taste.

The blackish brown tabby tom blinked in surprise, at his arranged mate, but wasn't displeased with Aridstar's choice. I can't lie, but I wish that it was Minnowpaw instead. But right now, that can't happen.

The brown and white tabby tom nodded to Aridstar, his tail curling over his paws. I don't know her well, but I'll trust your choice. But, what made you think of that? Hawktalon thought, gazing up at his leader with curiosity.

He flicked his tail and padded away to sit away from others, he wondered Will she like me? He pinned his ears back and sighed, muttering to himself "Hopefully..."

She frowned muttering "How come im not an apprentice?" She flicked her tail with a hiss.

The sleek black tom grinned with pride, as the apprentices became warriors. I remember when I was that young. I was still tripping over my paws at that time. He thought, remembering when he was mostly small and maybe a bit awkward.

The blackish brown tabby tom turned his head to Minnowpaw, flicking his ear. "Maybe Aridstar has a reason for that." He answered calmly, giving her a concerned look.

The brown and white tabby tom continued to listen intently, as Aridstar continued to speak. He glanced around for Ashfeather, soon spotting her. I'll go talk to her once Aridstar is done. It's rude to get up and walk away in the middle of our leader talking. Or at least, it is in my opinion.

She muttered "Oh.. right.. im only 12 moons.. oops.." she smiled embarrassingly, her tail flicking softly and her ear twitched as she coughed a little.
